Why Every Person Should Cleanse Their Colon

by Raylen on January 21, 2007

If want to cleanse your body, but have trouble staying on the Master Cleanse what I’m about to share can help you.

If you tried the Master Cleanse, but had to stop because of the side effects this will also help you.

Are you having a hard time on the Master Cleanse? Believe me I’ve been there. I know all about the hunger, headaches, and the temptations of “regular food”. No doubt about it the Master Cleanse requires discipline, and that’s why I always tell people to spend at least 3 days before going on the cleanse motivating themselves.

But for some people even that’s not enough.

If you want to cleanse your body of the layers of fecal plaque, and other internal waste you have other options besides the Master Cleanse.

Your best option is to follow a colon cleansing and body purification routine.

You start by taking in a lot of fiber to cleanse your colon. Fiber will promote bowel movements, absorb internal waste, and loosen the hardened plaque that’s clinging to the inside of your colon.

While you’re cleansing your colon with fiber you should also use natural products to purify your body. Here’s a list of things you can use:

* Alfalfa – Used to increase peristalsis of the bowels and as a blood purifier.

* Fenugreek Seed – A demulcent, used to aid digestion.

* Ginger – A carminative, used to aid digestion.

* Dandelion – Traditionally used to support the liver and kidneys.

* Fennel Seed – Helps expel gas from the bowels; traditionally used as a stomachic.

* Eleuthero – an adaptogen which balances body functions and supports the body’s resistance to stress. Also increases energy and stamina and supports the adrenal glands.

* Green Tea Extract – Contains polyphenols and flavones that may inhibit the formation of nitrosamines, which are known carcinogens (cancer-causing chemicals).

* Licorice Root – Supports the liver, lungs and digestive system, also a harmonizing herb.

* Marshmallow Root – Traditionally used to soothe and support the intestines.

* Peppermint Leaf – Stomachic, antispasmodic; supports digestion.

* Red Clover Leaf – Traditionally used as a blood purifier and to support healthy skin.

* Safflower Oil – Shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect.

* Burdock Root – Blood purifier, breaks down carbohydrates; supports the liver, kidneys and skin.

* Mullein Leaf – Traditionally used to support lung function, to loosen mucus and move it out of the body.

* Papaya Leaf – For digestive support.

* Black Cohosh Root – Traditionally used for the central nervous system and as a woman’s tonic.

* Cayenne Fruit – Carminative, stimulates digestion, and as a catalyst, carries other herbs quickly to the part of the body where they are needed most.

* Plantain Herb – Traditionally used to break up intestinal mucus.

* Slippery Elm Bark – A demulcent, soothes the digestive tract.

* Yellow Dock Root – One of the best “blood builders” in the herb kingdom; supports the liver and bile production.

* Milk Thistle Seed Extract – Supports the liver in the release of toxins.

Buying each one of these ingredients separately would cost a bundle, but you can order cleansing kits that come with everything you need. The one I recommend is Dual Action Cleanse (www.dualactioncleansenow.com). There least expensive kit costs less than $1 a day, and comes with all the fiber supplements and Body Purifier herbs so you’ll be getting the exact amount of each of the ingredients.

How does this compare to the Master Cleanse? When you use Dual Action Cleanse you can still eat whole food, so hunger won’t be an issue. It doesn’t work as fast, but it’s gentler on your body.

If you have tried the Master Cleanse, but suffered from painful side-effects a colon cleanse can flush out a lot of the troublesome internal waste that’s the source of most aches and pains. Using Dual Action Cleanse before going on the Master Cleanse will help cut down on side effects. Just make sure to rest for 30 days between the colon cleanse and master cleanse.

Hi Barbara, I just started the Master Cleanse for the first time today. I thought we could give each other encouragement throughout these next 10 days. So far I’m fine and don’t mind the taste of the drink. So I hope you have a wonderful day & feel great!

Hi Raylen,
Thank you for answering my question about the fast in less than 24 hours! I have been on it now for 5 days and have lost 7 pounds. I’m not having as much difficulty now as at the beginning. However, the “smooth move”tea I am drinking every night isn’t working and I haven’t experienced any type of “intestinal” cleanse. My friend, a public health nurse, has very negative things to say about “colon cleanses”, for example “there isn’t anything lodged in there to remove- your intestines do that by themselves”, etc. I am wondering what you have learned from your own studies about the actual health benefits. I know that there are always “opinions” about everything, but I’d like to know more factual information before proceeding with the products.
Thanks!
Barbara

Hi Monica-
I missed your posting- Hopeyou are doing alright now, too. The taste doesn’t bother me. One other good side benefit is that I have stopped drinking coffee altogether and drink “fasting tea” or “detox tea” every morning instead. Seven pounds so far (5 days)- It’s definitely motivating!

Hello, my name is Jamie Alexander. I have done alot of research lately about cleansing and detoxification. This is my 4th time on the mastercleanse. This is day 3 for me. I’m not sure how much weight I’ve lost, but I feel much better already. I recently developed some awful eating habits. I have a question though. I recently ordered a detox and colon cleanse from a site called drnatura.com. I wonder can I use these while I’m on the masterclease. Any information would help. Thanks

I don’t have a large intestine and I just received my kit. I will be starting it Sunday. How will this affect me? I have a j-pouch which is a portion of my small intestine (the end) formed into a 8oz pouch. Please respond…thank you

I started the Master Cleanse about 4 days ago, and doing very well on the weight loss, however my body is not reacting well. I have excruciatingly painful stomach cramps. I’m drinking the laxative tea in the morning and at night, but unable to go to the bathroom right away. Then in the middle of the day at work or at night, I’ll have painful stomach cramps for several hours until I can go to the bathroom. Anything you can recommend? Stronger laxative? More water?
