In 2007 I made a blog post about the natural sweetener stevia, and how the FDA seemed to be doing everything in its power to get it pulled off grocery store shelves. Now as one reader has pointed out stevia is popping up in all sorts of products…
It appears to me that Stevia is now becoming very popular, at Whole Foods the other day, I bought Stevia Soda’s! Yes, they were a little pricey, but once in a while I do crave a soda, and in the past, would drink a diet soda, either w/ aspartame or sucrolose. I use Stevia in anything I want sweetened. I did research on it, and as far as I saw, there are no harmful or long term side effects to Stevia. Crystal Light sells a “Fitness on the Go” sweetener for your water made out of Stevia, (read the ingredient’s though, they are not all made out of Stevia). Trader Joe’s has Lemonade made out of Stevia. Maybe the FDA is now giving in, because it’s definitely appearing to become more available and popular.
If you haven’t tried stevia you should go pick some up. It’s sweeter then sugar, has zero calories, and unlike artificial sweeteners stevia is all natural.

I'm not sure about the Fitness To Go and other "stevia" products like Truvia. I quit using Truvia which is a derivative Stevia product that is PROCESSED. I always look at the labels.
Hey,
I love to use Stevia... it's alot more natural solution for the body.
