Have Your Favorite Web Sites At Your Fingertips

Has this ever happened to you…

You’re web surfing takes you to a web site or blog (maybe it’s the Master Cleanse Secrets Blog) and you find something you KNOW you’ll want to come back to later. So you make a mental note of it, and the next time you’re at your computer thinking about that web site you can’t recall the name of the site. It’s forever lost in the vast – ever growing internet.

I admit this used to happen to me all the time. Even when I would save a web site as a “favorites” I would still lose them because I have 100’s of sties saved as my “favorites”, and it’s almost impossible to tell what all those sites are about just by looking at the title.

I know I’ve received dozens of emails asking for a link to something I posted on this blog months ago so I’m not the only one with trouble trying to keep track of all the good stuff I find on the net.

Thankfully I found a solution and it will make your Internet travels more enjoyable because you’ll never lose track of another web site. I’m sure glad there’s an abundance of computer geniuses who come up with cool things that make my life easier.

They’re called bookmarking sites and there’s many to choose from (I’ll share my favorites in a minute). When you open up a free account with one of these bookmarking sites you’ll be able to save all your favorite sites, and make a brief comment about the site. I really like the comment feature because sometimes I forget what it was I liked so much about a site. Not any more.

Here’s another neat feature. You can bookmark individual pages on a web site. Take this blog for example. There’s over 50 posts with more being added all the time. If there’s a post on the main page today it’s likely to be bumped off by next week. Unless you save the link to that specific post you’ll have to do some digging to find it. Bookmarking it save you trouble.

How to start bookmarking your favorite web sites:

I put a little button at the bottom of every post that looks like this.

That button will let you bookmark any page on this blog making it super easy to find when you want to come back to it again.

When you click the button you’ll see a screen where you’ll select which bookmarking service you’ll want to use. There’s a lot to choose from, but you only need one. On the image below I put a red arrow next to the bookmarking services that I think are the best and easiest to use.

You will have to create an account which only take 2 minutes, but it’s a one time thing. Then you’ll be able to bookmark all your favorite sites without ever having to worry about losing track of them again.

If you have any questions leave a comment and I’ll do my best to help you out.

  • Thanks for the 411 on the bookmarks. I would always see those icons but didn't know what they were. I now added you as my first bookmarked webpage!

I came across your website because I am researching the Master Cleanse. I would like to try it for 7 days and want to get all the information possible. (i.e. recipes, directions, etc.)
