The Changes You Experience On The Master Cleanse

I know of lot of the people who read this blog don’t just come here for information about how to do the master cleanse, but to get inspiration and motivation. Lets be honest the master cleanse can be difficult. You will be hungry, and you might even feel like giving up. But if you can stick with it you’ll experience a rapid transformation in the way you look and feel.

It’s the speed at which your body changes that makes master cleanse so special, and today I want to share a story about these changes that a reader posted to this blog.

If you’re thinking about trying the master cleanse or doing the master cleanse right now I think you’ll find this uplifting. I know I did.

I am on day 9 and feel fantastic. I don’t have a scale but I’d guess I’ve lost maybe close to 10 pounds. I am 45 years old and I never had a problem with my weight until the last few years. I was always a size 6 or thereabouts, then crept up to an 8, then recently a 10. I am small boned and 5′ 2″ so I cannot carry 147 pounds well. Most importantly I felt sluggish, tired and unhealthy. Too much fast food and junk food. I heard some people in my church talking about it and decided to do it. It was no where near as hard as I thought it would be! I was rarely hungry and if I did get a grumble I just drank some lemonade and it went away immediately. The first day or two I didn’t like the taste of maple in my lemonade, but now I am so used to it and really like it. Luckily I love spicy food so the pepper was a perfect addition for me.

I felt I needed to just quit all the junk cold turkey and re-set my body. I feel it has worked. I have a much bigger desire for whole foods and vegetables now, and I don’t crave fast food as much as before. The thought of processed food or pop makes me feel sick.

The part of the cleanse I liked the least was the laxatives, though I know it was necessary. My colon feels really good — empty and firm, not stuffed and bloated. I can’t believe how “light” I feel!

The most incredible thing to me besides how energetic I feel is the changes in my body. The football I seemed to swallow and which was lodged up under my diaphragm making me short of breath is gone. The bulges at the top of my outer thighs are gone. I have a waist again instead of that straight “trunk” look that I had before that made me look like a typical middle aged woman. I feel ten years younger! The leg cramps I got every night have pretty much vanished. The canker sores in my mouth are gone. I sleep really, really well, better than I have in ages. My hot flashes are gone!!

Master Cleanse, you are heaven sent!

  • I am planning on starting the diet because i have gained so much weight in the past two years and this is only a start for my goal. i have started many kinds of diet and exercise and given up.... so i am afraid this is going to be the same... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Finishing up the 7th day of TMC and it has been a great experience.... I felt tired and released a lot of stinky toxins but can't wait to see how I feel once I am eating again. Looking for some extra energy and feel just internally cleaner.. Plus just enjoying eating an almost raw vegan lifestyle.... I want to stay as clean as possible...

  • Hi...this is the 3rd time I've done the master cleanse. I did it twice about 4 years ago and vowed to do it again. Well, here I am doing it again!! Day 7 for me, woo hoo!!! I feel absolutely great!! My stomach makes some serious noises during the day, but I'm OK. Day 1-3 = COMPLETE TORTURE. I quit the third day at night and ate a meal and vowed that I would not put myself through this torture. I tossed and turned with stomach cramps, headaches and cold sweats and went right back on. I woke up the next morning and said screw this...I've done so much damage to my body in 42 years!!! I want to be healthy!!! I'm still hanging on...my skin is glowing, I've slimmed down tremendously. I didn't weigh myself because I completely hate scales!! But I'm sure that I lost over 10lbs by far. I'm going to shoot for 14 days...

  • Hi there! I am on Day 3 of the cleanse and so far so good! I only had the SWF on day 1 - didnt realise it had to be everyday! will start that daily from tomorrow morning. Have replaced the laxative tea with laxative pills - read somewhere that this was ok. Good luck to everyone! and me! let you know how it goes!

  • Hello, this is my 6th day and I feel great, I have been lost 5lbs. I am from Mexico and for me was so dificult to find maple B syrup, so I used Agave Syrup, agave's plant is tequila's plant, and is the same effect.

  • I'm finishing my second day. I had a lot of headaches, self doubt, anger, mood swings, nausea, bloating, and the list goes on. I'll finish this through, I'm just hoping this gets better.

  • Hi there! I weighed 165 I did the Master cleanser for 5days and lost around 11lbs went down to 154lbs. I did cheat a little I could've lost more weight. Well since Thanksgiving major temptation I gained the weight back :{ However, tonight I decided to try the cleanse again prior to the New Year (Yay 2012!) This time without cheating. My problem is eating too late and eating meats. When I refrain from the consumption of meat and eating late I stay thinner and also feel healthier I'm going back to doing aerobics & taking dance classes to keep the weight off indefinitely. My goal is to lose 10lbs by Sunday. We will see! :)

  • Hi! This is my 4th day on TMC and I am struggling. I work in restaurants and it is so tempting to just quit and indulge in anything and everything. I drink 7 servings of the mix and a ton of water but I still feel hungry and I can't stand to drink anymore than 7 servings. So far on day 4 I have lost 8lbs :) That is my motivation. I am almost halfway finished and have been researching healthy diets for after I get off the cleanse. Anybody know of any good diets? Anyway, I hope you all hang in there and keep motivated!!
