Today a reader asked about dealing with the pressures of work while doing the Master Cleanse…
I am considering the MC, however, I work as a Patient Care Tech at a hospital and my co workers are saying its a bad idea because I’m exposed to so many diseases and ridding myself of all the toxins might be a bad idea. Plus, the worry I won’t have the energy I need to handle the patients with lifting and such. Also, I work the night shift. Does any of this REALLY matter?
I wish I could tell you that you’ll have no problem breezing through the Master Cleanse while juggling all the responsibilities of work. The truth is it can be difficult, especially during the first few days.
If you can, start the Master Cleanse when your work schedule is the least hectic.
There’s never going to be a perfect time to start the Master Cleanse. Most of us don’t have the luxury of putting everything on hold while we do it, and life is always going to put up little road blocks, but don’t make it any harder on yourself than you have to.
Just make sure you’re paying attention to your body, and don’t push yourself too hard. If you start to feel light headed, or that your work is suffering, don’t be afraid to eat a piece of fruit or some vegetables. Some Master Cleanse purists will scoff at me for giving that advice, but it’s better than pushing yourself too far and fainting on the job.
Good luck!

I do too, I am on a water sport team, and we have champs in a few weeks, so I can't take the luxury of just ditching my team and disappearing for a week or 2. I usually eat a very small fruit or veggie before I go, or have a little after practice. So far it seems like my system is still cleansing itself appropriately, and...i still have the bonus of losing weight :)
I appreciate reading this, it is unrealistic for some folks to go on "cleanse retreat", it's hard enough just to do a juice cleanse and maintain a regular schedule. I think we just have to be upfront about it ... life rarely gives us the chance to be purists, we should appreciate that we are here, now, and doing something to take care of ourselves.
I am 15, can i do the master cleanse?
