What Else Works Besides The Master Cleanse

As anyone who’s tried the Master Cleanse knows it can be challenging. Today a reader asked if there’s anything else you could do besides the Master Cleanse to bring about health.

My name is Adrianne Lewis and I am so proud of you in your weight loss success. I really need help!! I have battled with weight for over 20 years of my life. Up and down. I am very blessed to have an athletic build so I usually gain weight proportionally. The problem is that I know my body is not healthy, i feel sluggish and tired all the time. I can’t stick to a healthy diet, it’s much more difficult for me than it’s ever been. I’ve tried the lemonade cleanse before, but could never get through it without cheating. I wanted to start it today but I don’t want to fail again. Do you have any suggestions for me? What did you do when your mind wanted to give up, or your body started aching in the beginning. Please help,

In an earlier, and somewhat lengthy bolg post I outlined 3 types of diets a person could use after the Master Cleanse to essentially keep a good thing going and continue forward with leading a healthy lifestyle. But the advice in that post (found here) can be used by anyone whether they did the master cleanse or not

  • Hi Adianne, I understand how you feel, one of things that I've been thinking this two days that I've been in the MC, is cravings or hunger. If you want pizza, cheese, hamburgers, potato chips, candy, etc you have a craving but if you want raw carrots, orange juice, a salad or a handful of almonds you are hungry. So it is easier to work your mind trhough cravings...Just think that next day when you take a "dump" your craving most likely be gone. By the way I read all this on Peter Glickman's book. I've been on the cleanse for 11/2 days and i just keep reminding myself of all the benefist i will get and that at least I want to make it to day 3 (Raylen says the first three days are the worst).
    I think you can do it!!!!!!

  • Hi! I started the Master Cleanse yesterday for the first time! Day 1 wasn't bad at all, i did get a little hungry at night but i drank some WheatGrass
    (like Raylen suggest in his guide) and my hunger was gone. Today I've been feeling great and I am still motivated to finish. I don't have a set goal yet, I want to make it to day 5 but I might keep going.
    I finally decided to start the MC because I injured myself running so I cannot workout as much as i used to, I think my injury is going to bring me lots of benefits!!! I can go back to running in about twelve days so i can't wait to see how I feel after the MC.
