I came across this list in a book and must have read, and re-read it a dozen times. I went online to see who authored this list and found it attributed to the Dali Lama, an anonymous monk, and a email chain letter sent back in 1999. Regardless of who wrote it I think you’ll find this short list very uplifting, I know I did.
1. Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
2. When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
3. Follow the three R’s: Respect for self, Respect for others and Responsibility for all your actions.
4. Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
5. Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
6. Don’t let a little dispute injure a great relationship.
7. When you realize you’ve made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.
8. Spend some time alone every day.
9. Open your arms to change, but don’t let go of your values.
10. Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.
11. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.
12. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
13. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don’t bring up the past.
14. Share your knowledge. It is a way to achieve immortality.
15. Be gentle with the earth.
16. Once a year, go someplace you’ve never been before.
17. Remember that the best relationship is one in which your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.
18. Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
19. Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
20. Love as if you’ve never been hurt.
… I hope you enjoyed this list. We’re certainly facing uncertain times and now more then ever it’s important to stay grounded and clear headed.
Yes I have started the Master Cleanse it,s been 3 days my husband says he already see some difference . I have to amit it,s not easy you really have to put your mind to it but i,m gonna continue the full 10 days and after i,m finish i,m commit to eating healthier to stay fit.(smile)

I’ve tried the Master Cleanse twice, however, I cannot get past the Salt Water Flush in the morning, too much water, and yuck, salt. Is there any help for dealing with this. The lemonaide is great, and I love the idea about the capsules (will have to try them, since if I make a big batch of lemonaide, it just get’s hotter throughout the day and throws the flavor of the lemonaide off big time).
Thanks for the inspiration. Will check back to see if there are any responses to my salt-water flush problem, and will be definetly trying again, and hopefully making it threw the 10 days (or hopefully more)!
I’ve not tried the cleanse yet. I’m 50 lbs overweight and know I need to get started. I work such long hours (7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Mon.-Friday) Can this be done when working in an office with such a schedule?
My husband is not interested in this and I must cook meat and potatoes type meals for him. I find that my well-power is rather weak but realise that this would make me feel so much better. Any suggestions?
I read the 20 rules and love them all. I have a question if it can be answered. What about being in a relationship and you only see that person once a week and they seem to thing it’s fine. I have tried to explain you can not build a relationship that way. Help me.

I’ve always wanted to do the cleanse – always! I’m afraid b/c i can’t imagine being on liquids only for 10 days! I’m going to do it soon though i’ve decided. If you’re not a fat person do you still have a bunch of junk come out of you? I’m 5’7, 129. I would assume so just curious…
I have to thank you that was a nice way to start my day 20 things. I havn’t started the cleanse yet. I did try for one day and I didn’t do so well. I am going to try after the holidays. I am really afraid I won’t be able to make it. If there is anything anyone can tell me to help out I would so apprecite it. Thanks Sherry

this is my second time on the cleanse,the first time everything went well.I work outside, the temps are right around zero,I usually do not have a problem staying warm.I am going on my third day,and am having a hard time keeping my body warm.Do you think my body will adjust or is this because there is no food to fuel the furnace?
