Here’s a question about the water temperature of the lemonade, and what to do when the laxative tea isn’t working like it should.
Hey! Today is my first day of the master cleanse. I was just wondering, does the water have to be warm? The book recommends it but says you can use cold water. I know that cold drinks do not help your metabolism, but is that the only reason why it is suggested to drink it warm? I would rather drink it cold.
I bought Yogi get regular tea, it tastes good, but I haven’t noticed anything different as far as movements. How’s the smooth move tea? What does it taste like?
It would take me hours to drink a quart of salt water and drink this lemonade.
The main reason to use warm water is it will do a better job of flushing mucus from your digestive tract then cold water will. If you have a hard time drinking the lemonade warm you should at least try to keep it at room temperature, and not ice cold.
About the laxative tea. Whichever brand you choose is going to work about the same. What I’ve noticed is that when I drink the tea while sitting down it won’t take effect. Try drinking the tea and moving around, that should help get things moving. Doing a few sit ups will also do the trick.

I just stumbled upon this post trying to figure out if you can use any type sweetene with the nightly sienna tea. Does anyone sweeten it? If so, with what? The maple syrup, agave, some other natural sweetener?
Oh if you want to be taken seriously, please correct the grammar. It is "than" not "then" in the main article, the sentence about using warm water rather than cold.
Hi Raylen! :) Where can I find some good laxative teas? Which ones did you use?
** I use a brand called Smooth Move from Traditional Medicinals - Raylen **
can one use the salt water flush twice instead of the laxative tea????
hi...can one use the salt flush twice instead of the laxative tea???
@Hazel: Hi :) Please be careful when choosing a laxative pill and do your research. I'm sure you're aware of some of the adverse side effects (they become easily addictive; not saying that would be the case with you, but probably wouldn't be a good idea to take one twice a day for the length of this cleanse- depending on how long you plan to stay on it). Also, regular laxative pills usually take longer to work. I've never used the laxative tea, but my experience with the salt water flush has been good. I use a sea salt brand called Real Salt (you can get it coursely or finely grounded- I'm using finely grounded) and I do the flush with 30-35 oz of water first thing in the morning and the last thing before I go to bed at night and it starts working immediately- ususally within 15-20 minutes. I realize results won't be the same for everyone, but I strongly recommend following the ingredients and the protocol for the cleanse as provided on this blog (Raylen has done an excellent job sharing information and tips!!) Tomorrow will be Day 9 for me and I honestly didn't think I would last this long! I know you can do it, too :) Please feel free to email me at alohasenterprises@gmail.com if you have any questions for me. Good luck and happpy cleansing!
I'm starting the Master Cleanse tomorrow and am wondering if a laxative pill the night before will have the same effect as laxative tea?
I just started the cleanse this morning, taking the SWF and drinking about 6 glasses of lemonade throughout the day. By late afternoon my weight has gone UP by three pounds! Is this water retention from the salt? This is really discouraging when you're looking forward to at least nine more days of the same! Has anyone else experienced weight gain instead of loss? I will give it a few more days but I am skipping the SWF.
I am concerned about eliminations. The first day I was literally in the bathroom all day and I am on the second day and I have only had one small liquid elimination. I did the tea at night and the salt water in the morning as required and no elimination. Should I be concerned? is this normal?
