Master Cleanse Journal – Day 9
8:00am – I can’t belive it’s already been 9 days. Doing the Master Cleanse has yielded some amazing results so far, with the most important one being almost endless energy.
I’m waking up earlier then I normally do, which is somethings I’m going to continue after the cleanse, and I’m getting a lot more done during the day. Granted I don’t have the same stamina I would on my normal diet so I can’t push myself too hard mentally or physically, but I got a light energetic feeling that carries me through the day.
In the Day 8 comments I noticed someone mentioned psyllium husk. If you’re not seeing solid elimanations or if you’re bothered by hunger adding psyllium husk can help. If you look at most of those expensive colon cleansing kits psyllium husk is usually the main ingredient. I like it because it works different then the salt water or tea, psyllium husk binds with internal waste and make it easier to push the waste out through your body.
Taking psyllium husk can also be somewhat filling which is another benefit Master Cleanser’s will find helpful.
I’ll post another update later on today. 2 more days to go!

10:00pm – With day 9 winding down I thought I would post what I’ve got planned for the next few days.
Tomorrow’s going to be the last day on the Master Cleanse for me, and then on days 11, 12, 13 I’ll be making the transition back to whole food which I’ll also be posting on this site.
I’ll also be sharing some advice on long term strategies for keeping, and improving the huge health gains we all made doing the Master Cleanse.
If there’s anything you would like to know about what to do after the cleanse you can post them in the comments below and I’ll work on a “Post-Master Cleanse” write up this week.
I’ll see you all tomorrow for Day 10. – Raylen

Day 12 for me!
Wow, it feels like I just started the fast. Hard to believe that I have not eaten in 12 days. I am 16 lbs lighter than when I started and boy do I feel it. My clothes fit better, my face looks thinner. My only downfall is that I chew sugarfree gum all day long. I am strict everywhere but there. I feel that if I chew gum my stomach doesn’t feel so left out and I don’t miss eating as much.
Keep on going stong everyone you are almost done with your journey.
That is so neat Jenny, good for you to go the 12 days. I haven’t started yet because my daughter and her baby live with us until next week. Then I’m going to start…ps. I love sugarless gum also but I don’t think my body likes the xylotol (not right spelling)
Day 9 for me, and I had 9 eliminations by noon today–the most eliminations I’ve ever had on this cleanse! Who knew I’d still have so much left in there? My stomach isn’t as distended as it has been. And, I’ve now lost about 5 pounds.
In general, I’m pretty tired, but that’s not slowing me down. I’m still pretty productive.
When I was buying more organic lemons at Whole Foods yesterday, I was looking longingly at the organic vegetables I’m going to buy on Saturday morning to make my vegetable broth for Sat. night dinner. Can’t wait–I’m ready to begin the transition back to solid–but healthy/non-toxic–foods.
I, too, can’t believe it’s been almost 10 days! Hang in there, everyone–we’re almost there!
Congratulations on Day 12, Jenny!
Way to go Everyone!!
Its my Day 6 and I am still hanging on. Ive lost about 7 lbs so far and am very happy with that, although I do feel a little bloated for the last three days. I also have a sore throat now and hope it goes away soon. I went to the gym today and felt fine. Overall, I am still happy that I chose to do this and am looking forward to making my vegetable soup in several days as well. Have a great day!!
I’ve lost 12lbs so far yeah! I am ready to transtition too. I just did the sea salt flush today and I’m eliminating a lot. I will go to the steam room later to release even more toxins,
till later

Hi, I see that everyone is doing really great. I was unable to continue my master cleansing fast; however, I start up again on Monday, April 9 in full force. Just reading everyone’s journal has given me the extra boost that I need to complete the 10 day detox. Also, my stylist does it and just seeing how great she looks really helps to know that it works very well. Wish me luck on Monday.
I didn’t make the steam room I was a little too tired, but I’ll go tomorrow. How do you come off the detox??
Before I retire for the night with my cup of Smooth Move tea, I wanted to share this experience. I came back a short while ago from a church service where I received a small piece of bread at communion. I didn’t even think about the fact that I wasn’t supposed to have solid food until I was swallowing it (it tasted soooo good!). Within about 30 minutes, I started having mild cramps and gas pains.
My take-away from this is that we should all be very careful about coming off the cleanse–we shouldn’t go to solids too quickly. If a small piece of communion bread can cause stomach distress, imagine what a slice of pizza (vegetarian, of course!) would do!
Goodnight all!
so i am finishing my 6th day and i am finding it harder and harder. all i can think about is eating. I came so close to breaking it today but havent yet. I dont know if i’ll be strong enough to get it through the weekend. when i thought about breaking it, i thought of these posts and it helped but i am still worried. i really want to stay at it and i wanted to go a little bit longer than 10 days but i just dont know. i think i just want to experience the taste of food again. even though i eat very healthy, i just want to eat some pasta or anything solid. congrats to everyone! yall are doing great!
This is the end of day 6, I can’t believe my husband and I have not eaten food this long. The true test will be this week-end. We are going to San Francisco to visit my daughter and her husband. My daughter could’nt believe that we were not going to eat while on this trip and for Easter! We are determined to make it for at least 2 weeks. I did not feel good at work today but came home and layed down for a little while then felt better and went to a store. Karry and I are starving everyday, but all the other benefits out weigh the hunger! I’ve lost 13pounds and Karry’s lost 8!
