This blog has two purposes. I want to use it to educate people about the master cleanser diet by sharing tips and answering questions. I also use this blog to help inspire people, either by motivating them to try the master cleanser, or by being a virtual coach to those who’ve already started the master cleanser, but are struggling.

This post is going to be inspirational, and I feel it will be a tremendous resource for you if you’re thinking about trying the master cleanser diet, or if you’re currently doing it and need some motivation to help you finish the diet.

I’m going to share some master cleanser stories that have been posted to this blog. My story is already posted here: about Raylen Sterling. I hope  you enjoy reading these, and if you have a story to share please leave it in the comments section below. I would love to hear from you.

This first one comes from Tonya who writes:

This is my first detox cleanse, fast, diet, whatever, EVER! The greatest challenge was believing I could live without eating. I am on day 5 and I feel great! I am having just one bowel movement per day with the salt water flush and something yellowish is consistently leaving.

I’m finally over the cravings for foods like cheese sticks and cookies, but I do miss the luxury of eating and the different smells and textures. My energy level is ok if I push it, but in general, I feel like I should just relax up for a while. I’m in a great mood! Actually, I’m getting along with my husband a lot better! Hee! Also, I’m finding a different sense of humor.

When I talk, my voice seems louder in my head. My doctor said that’s normal when people lose weight. Anyway, for those out there just getting through the first few days, keep it up, because it seems to get easier mentally. I still can’t believe I can live without solid food. I just keep telling myself that it’s only temporary and all the food in the world will still be here when I come off this regimen. I look forward to my body being at an optimal level. Chin up and push to the finish!

Next Danny shares his story and gives some great advice for achieving better eliminations:

While on the master cleanse for the second time here are my observations. On about the sixth day I awoke to find myself smelling tobacco smoke. I smelled my hands and the smell was coming from them. I also cupped my hands and breathed into my nose my exhaled breath . The smell was there too, yet I have never been a smoker. This is definitely a case for the absorption of second hand smoke which was being expelled as a foreign substance.

I used to have a large buildup of calcium about a nickel’s width in my palm right beside the middle finger. This came about from years in my work of tightly gripping pipe wrenches and applying pressure to undo pipes. After 10 days the calcium buildup was gone. The buildup had been quite pronounced with a visible bulge in my skin when my hand was stretched out straight.

The best laxative you can take is to drink 2 quarts of concord grape juice, not artificial or from concentrate. Drink it down slowly, a glass at a time, until your stomach can’t hold any more. Wait a short while and then drink down the rest the same way. Take a pause between glasses to allow your stomach to adapt to the change in volume that it will be holding. You have to drink all of the juice within a short period to get the desired effect. And that effect is that in 2 to 3 hours you will start passing (foul) gas and shortly after you will have mild diarrhea that cleanses almost everything right out of you. What is interesting is that if the juice is drunk as directed and the correct quantity the stool eventually changes to a mud consistency since it seems to not only cause the bowel to function but it also breaks down the compacted matter into a form that is easy to pass through the colon thereby making it the best fast acting stool softener you can use - all in only 2 to 3 hours from when you finished drinking all the grape juice. After your last major movement you will have some smaller and more controlled movements over the next 12 hours as the intestines continue to expel all the residual softened matter in your colon. Of course this method isn’t good for diabetics. Another hint is that after each glassful of grape juice immediately rinse out your mouth with regular water so you don’t cause staining of your teeth.

A glass of grape juice on an empty stomach in the morning is a ritual by many people for bowel “maintenance”. The extra volume you drink kicks it up a few notches. Also, you don’t have the cramping with over the counter laxatives that try to irritate (stimulate) a weakened intestinal tract.

The last time I went on the cleanse was over 20 years ago and I stayed on the cleanse for over 20 days while still being able to function at work. I have done distilled water fasting for 20 days also and the difference with the master cleanse is that you are not bringing up as much phlegm and mucous as distilled water fasting because distilled water fasting seems to have an effect of “squeezing” everything out of you because of the greater catabolic processes going on. This mucous starts to appear in 24 hours and continues right through the distilled water fast.

My Name is D.

I am now on my 10th day cleansing. I have lost 11 lbs. for me when I first heard about the cleansing through a friend that had been on it for 14 days and lost 14 lbs, I thought this has to be the diet that I am looking for. I have tried every diet and have been 35 lbs over weight since I had my kids. I have been looking for a diet that would work for me. I prayed that this one would work because, I was tired of searching for the right one. I have been on so many other diet programs and have lost and gained my weight right back.

I am in awe as how this diet has worked for me. It wasn’t hard for me at all I got on it the day after I had visited with my friend that was on the diet. I have only had one side affect and that was the bad headaches, yes it was caffein addiction. I drank 1 to 2 cups of coffee per day and I know that was the problem of the headaches. I also have hypertention and take medication for it along with hormone pills. I have not taken them thru my cleansing because my blood pressure has been 115/73. My hormones are doing good.

I am so greatful for this diet. My skin is so soft and my hair looks so healthy and my stomach doesn’t hurt anymore. I couldn’t eat anything without getting a stomach ache.

I will start juicing and eating raw meals and maybe even stay away from meats.

I told my boss about it and she and I ordered the books and cd. If you haven’t purchased the books…it’s better to have them on hand and get some knowledge of the diet because it helps alot to understand what your body is going through. There’s alot to learn from the books, like they say word of mouth or by computer doesn’t give you all the details of the diet.

I will be getting off my diet tonight, because I have a vacation trip planned. But I plan on going back on it and maybe next time stay on it for 20 days.

All my co-workers are excited to get on the diet soon.

It took a couple decades, a massive united effort of millions of people, record setting lawsuits, government intervention, excessive taxation, and a major cultural paradigm shift from “cool” to “not cool” to slow down the big tobacco companie from getting their deadly product into the hands of consumers.

Todays smoker is not seen as the sex-cool-rebel. Far from it, in fact, thanks in large part to the Truth advertising campaign smokers realized they were just pawns to crusty old corporate fat cats - nothing cool about that!

But despite all that many people continue to smoke. I’m not hear to stride in on my moral high horse and tell anyone who wants to smoke that they should stop. It’s your choice. I would however like to offer some advice to those who would like to quit smoking cigarettes, but haven’t been able to kick the habit.

Cigarettes are after all extremely addictive.

The title of this post is ” Using The Master Cleanse To Quit Smoking” and this is a master cleanse blog, so as you probably guessed I’m going to suggest using the master cleanse to stop smoking.

How will that help?

The master cleanse is a potent bad-habit-breaker. I like to think of it as pushing the reset button on your body. When you spend 10 days on the master cleanse you’ll find more often then not, that you feel better then you’ve ever felt before in your life. There are over a 1,000 comments on this blog, and many of them say just that!

After you get a taste of this good feeling a mental shift takes place, and most people tend to naturally gravitate away from unhealthy habits like smoking so they can stay feeling good. This process will of course require that you truly want to give up the habit to begin with.

What you’ll usually find is that your ravenous cravings are cut down significantly to a much more manageable urge that pops up every now and again. And even those go away after while.

There’s almost to many benefits of doing master cleanse diet to list. One of the little one’s that doesn’t get much attention is that it makes your sense of taste and smell come alive.

The master cleanse is most often done to flush out waste and plaque that has build up in your body, and it does a heck of job! But it also does so much more. The Master Cleanse is a diet that makes changes to the way you look and feel very quickly, but not instantly.

Let me explain.

I’m seeing some people get discouraged because they’re not passing large amounts of impacted fecal matter and other internal crud on the first day or two. The detoxing process will take a few days to before it starts to work. And when it does start working it won’t necessarily all come pouring out of you in one giant bowel movement.

In most cases it’s more of an erosion process similar to the way a river erodes the rock beneath it.

Most master cleanse users will have frequent, smaller bowel movements that are mostly dark liquid, chaff, mucus, with some solid particles, and maybe 2 or 3 I-can’t-believe-that-came-out-of-me eliminations. And those big eliminations almost always come latter in the cleanse (after day 5).

What I would like readers to take away from this post is that massive eliminations are not the sole indicator for whether or not the master cleanse is working. Going on the master cleanse will detox your body, but it is a process that happens over the course of a few days and not all at once.
