As 2008 winds to a close I was thinking about how I could help everyone who reads this blog start 2009 off on the right foot, and I think I came up with something you’ll enjoy.
It’s no secret that most New Years resolutions are health related. After all the New Year represents a fresh start and a chance to change the things about yourself you might not be happy with. That could mean shedding a few pounds, eating healthier, or getting rid of some bad habits you might have.
It’s out with the old and in with the new!
But those pesky old habits can be a real devil to get rid of which is why most New Years resolutions don’t stick.
This is what I want to help you with…
As you probably know by now I’m a big fan of the Master Cleanse. I don’t know of any other diet that can do what the Master Cleanse does in such a short period of time. You can literally transform yourself in 10 days, and whether you’re looking to lose weight, break a junk food addiction, clear up your skin, or just feel better and more alive the Master Cleanse can help.
So starting Jan 1. I want to invite you to join me and we can do the Master Cleanse together.
I will make daily posts to this blog and everyone who wants to join in can use the comments section to share their progress as well.
I’ll be following the system I published in my Master Cleanse Secrets ebook so I’m already getting myself mentally prepared for Jan 1 (getting yourself in the proper frame of mind is an important, and often overlooked part of the Master Cleanse). I’ll also be doing the 3 day easing in process I share in the book to help avoid headaches and other side effects by gently transitioning into the cleanse.
There’s never a perfect time to start the Master Cleanse, and it’s easy to find some sort of excuse not to do it, but I think the start of the new year is about the best time you ask for. I also know that having a support group can be a huge help which is why I’ll be sharing my progress right here on this blog, and I encourage you to join in and do the same.
Sound like fun?
Let me know if you’re interested by posting a comment below and I’ll be back with an update tomorrow.

I had planned on starting the New Year with a cleanse, so LET’S DO IT!!!
Count me in, I am so ready for a cleanse, the first time was great, after this cleanse I am going back onto my raw diet and I cannot wait !
Good luck every one
xxx
I was thinking of doing this january the 5th but i am still undecided. Something has to change and i have already started changing a few things but i must keep it up x
I would like to do this!
I would love to do the master cleanse again for the new year and know that there are many others along with myself doing it. I really need to get into eating healthy and keeping weight off as I approach 50 this year 2009. Count me in.
Raylen.
I really would be interested in starting the fast for the new year this will be my first time and I’m excited and ready to live a healthier 2009.
Hi Raylen,
My husband and I are will be starting 2009 with the Master Cleanse, although are start date is Jan. 5th, so we will be a few days behind. I look forward to reading your posts and the posts of the other participants. We both turn 40 this year and hope to be the healthiest we’ve ever been. I hope to change some bad eating and exercise habits and I think the MC is a great way to start. Good luck to everyone!!!
I did the Master Cleanse for 12 days, the first three days I must say were very difficult; head ache, body ache, depleted enegry felt like I had the flu. After the three days, I had no cravings, was not hungry and lost around 14 lbs, even though I needed to loss the weight, I also needed to start feeling healthy. I figured I could go through the three days of detox, if I could go through weeks, months, years feeling bloated, tired all the time, just not feeling good about myself. So yes, I would love to do the cleasning with you guys. Note to Joanne: Yes you can work and do the cleasning.
Hi,
Sounds like a plan. I’ll start Jan. 5th and go from there. Could u post some sucssesful stories so we can keep our sprit strong? Thanks for the invitation.
I ordered your literature several months ago, and have yet to do the cleanse. I hope to be successful this go round with you and the blog.
I planned to do the Master Cleanse starting on Jan. 1, 2009. I am also preparing mentally. This will be my third time. I have gone ten days and then fourteen days. It seems the same symtoms keep coming back so I will be putting an effort into keeping the benefits. Also, I went back to smoking ciggarettes and didn’t even crave them when I was on the Master Cleanse. It’s an amazing solution to all I care to change. I will join in. Thanks for the invitation.
P.S. You can work and do the cleanse. Do the Master Cleanse even if you have a cold. I did the first one when I had bronchitis and it’s amazing.
Wonderful idea to get together a mutual support group. This will be my first full-length cleanse ( previously only managed three days because of headaches etc ), so really appreciate being able to learn from and support each other.
I have tried the cleanse but have only lasted 3 days I know its a good one but its so hard to follow and TV’s driving me crazy with diet comercials
I’ll be joining in also. I’m really having trouble with the salt water you have to drink each day tho, is there a way to lower the salt and yet still get the benefits? Or can you add some lemon to hide the taste? Usually I love the sea salt on my food and all, not sure why I am having such a strong reaction to drinking it. Thanks for any help given.
Thanks, Raylen!
But, I got an early start and am actually scheduled to end the MC on January 1st. Feeling great! =)
I am determined to do the cleanse….I GAVE UP A 10-DAY TRIP TO THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC WITH MY HUSBAND. My husband just left this morning and this is one of the hardest things i’ve ever done in my life–I HOPE I CAN MAKE THIS WORTH THE SACRIFICE.
One would say this is a stupid thing to do (giving up the trip) but I decided that a healthier me is more important than this trip. I married 3 1/2 years ago; had too much fun and let go of myself–got pregnant–put on 20-25 lbs but only to miscarry. The pain and the pounds lingered on and I’m just totally exhausted of it–I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS RUT. I thought the cleanse will truly help in getting back a healthier me.
I got all the ingredients yesterday. I am starting the salt water flush tomorrow, Dec 31 and start the lemonade diet on Jan 1. I AM VERY NERVOUS! WISH ME GOOD LUCK I’LL NEED IT IN THE NEXT 11 DAYS.
A safe and happy New Year to all!!
Annie
Great idea! I know that I could benefit from the cleanse. The issue for me is when to begin. I am traveling for work the first two weeks of January. I am going to pick a “start date” and make it happen.
Count Me In.
I did the Master Cleanse about a year ago and lost 15 pounds in 7 days. It works and after the third day you shouldn’t even feel hungry. I would suggest going on all liquids like soup before jumping straight into not eating. I will start my new year with another week cleanse to jump start a healthy new year!
Had planned to start on the 1st and just do a 5 day cleanse but with the blog maybe I can extend it…….we’ll see
Hi Raylen,
I am indeed interested in the cleanse. However, I normally train intense as I am preparing for a 5k in February. I am wondering how this can be done with training – if I will be rightly norished. Please let me know. Thanks for the offer and all the best for 2009!
Hey im planning on starting on the 2nd of January so count me in THANKS
A great idea and what timing. I have done TMC 3xs this year. I made additional attempts 2xs this fall and wasn’t able to stick with it. After having two colds (during thanksgiving and xmas) – getting your email was the sign I needed to complete TMC asap. thanx for the nudge. I will be reviewing your tips to be recharged. Happy New Year
It is time I do another cleanse. My last one was in April 2008 but I slipped back into all my old nasty habits. It is time for a new start.
sure i don’t mind, i’ll try it again
Being a natural health practitioner I very much support detoxification. I very successfully did the cleanse twice last year. The first time I stayed on it for 21 days until my tongue had eliminated the white coating and was back to its pink color. I was never hungry and I never had any kind of food cravings. I drank 6 lemonade 6 times a day. The second time I did the cleanse I did it for 10 days and I did have cravings and hunger. The only difference was that the first time I used reverse osmosis water and the second time I used filtered water. Both times I felt amazingly cleansed and found it, for me, to be the best cleanse I have ever done.
I was planning on doing the cleanse again in January, just as you are doing.
Best of health to us all!
PS I do find the sea salt in the morning to be a challenge on some days as it cleans me too fast. I have not been able to figure out how much water or salt to reduce or increase to modify this drastic reaction.
Any ideas?
i’m in:)
Count me in. I’m ready to start Jan. 2nd. This will be my 3rd cleanse and I have to say to any newcomers, it works so well you will want to do it again! :}
Raylene,
Sounds good to me. Please include some words of encouragement for those of us who will be starting the cleanse a few days later (due to work obligations/travel).
Here’s to lookin’ & feelin’ fine in ‘09!
Yes, I am interested. I plan to start about the 2nd week of January. I first did the cleansing the beginning of this year. I felt great and had lost some weight. I did it for 14 days. Thereafter I did it 2 more times for about 5 days. My problem was that I gave in to unhealthy food. I gained all my weight back and feel terrible. I felt that the moment I started to eat anything, I gained all my weight back. My health is at stake. I am a diabetic. I would love the support and any advice on being able to eat and still continue to lose the weight.
Thank You
Elyna
You can Count me in! last time I tried I only made it to day seven, but I am more ready and better prepared this time. I was gonna do this starting in jan. anyway , must have read my mind. So heck, why not the 1st? Start off with a bang.
P.s please keep me posted I could use the support, challenge and I love to know how others are doing!
I’ll be starting on Jan 2, will stay at least 10 days. As far as the energy and work…try to keep a bottle of the mix with you and keep drinking, your body may need more than a regular daily portion due to your high activity level. The daily portion has about 700cal., so on your busy days, drink more.
Hello , and Happy New Year, Raylen !! to e It looks like we all are ready to do something and make it happier !!I am ready for the new start!! Good luck to all of us,Happy New Year to everybody !!
Dora
I
Hi
I am interested in starting the cleanse. I bought all of my ingredients 2 weeks ago and did a jump start to see how it would be. I did it for two days and it was great. I can’t wait to get the full effects of it. I plan to start it on friday Jan. 2. It will be great to have a support group. I need to get healthier, lose weight, and get rid of bad sugar cravings. Last month I did a seven day liquid fast and lost ten pounds and felt great. I know this one will be great.
OK, after my CT scan today, I’ve decided to take better care of myself ( I’m typing this as I finish up the last few ginger snaps). 2009 is going to be MY year!
I’l be staring the MC Friday 01/02/2009…I’m looking forward to feeling like “ME” again. Here’s to a FRESH new start on ‘09!!
I just completed day 1 but I do have one concern, I am feeling sick and I think it may be because I have the flu. I thought my symptoms were as a result of the flu but now I believe that it may be because of the cleanse. Also, I only drank 4 servings today because I took a 2 1/2 hour nap. Is this okay? Should I stop the cleansing until I get over the flu- i really don’t want to!
Count me in.
hi thank you for your email, this may sound funny but i started a detox today wednesday . The trouble is with your lemonade is. I am allergic to honey and maple syrup. My main allergy problem is Salisylates which puts a big damper on most diets. I have never been able to keep any muscle . Thats is untill I found the diet I am on now, for the first time in my life I have muscle.
you look as though you are doing a good job,so good luck
Joanne
I am definitely interested! I was thinking of starting on Jan. 1st., but decided that if I’m going to really be serious, this time, then I’d start before then. So, I along with a friend, started Monday, Dec. 29th. I’ve made it through day two, and found that it was much easier than day 1. My friend called me from work, at lunch, on day one. She was very tempted, and wanted to eat, badly! I talked her through it, and she was so glad that I was there, to encourage her. Well, by late Monday evening, I called her, asking if she wanted to start on Jan. 1st., because I was ready to give up! Needless to say, she refused, and talked me through it! I couldn’t thank her enough on Tuesday, because it didn’t bother me, at all! We did it before, for 15 days, and the results were quite visible! Sad to say,we went right back to our old ways. We’ve tried a number of times, since then, but we were never able to get past the first few days, if we made it that far! But, I am determined! I did it before, and I will do it again! So thanks for this idea! I am so glad that I have my friend, to lend support, and she feels the same! Good Luck!!!
I’m in. I’m a newbie. I have never done a cleanse before. I have a lot of weight to lose. At least 80 pounds. Planning on starting Jan 5 due to my work schedule.
I plan on committing to the mc not because of weight problems just to cleanse the system. I have never attempted this. I hope I dont lose to much weight I only weigh about 135 as a 5′6″ male. Let us all keep the faith.
I would love to start I actually purchase the items needed a few days ago, started on Dec. 29 and did not do to well i have hypertension and take med’s daily for it and this morning I felt as if my bp was elevated, any replacements for the cayenne pepper. Thanks
I am willing to go the distance and to see so many people also committed, makes me know that I can accomplish this goal.
I’m in! I’ve actually been planning on doing the cleanse in the new year anyways, so this is perfect. I won’t be starting till the 2nd though because I am moving to FL on the first…and as we all know, we are not allowed to bring liquids on the plane..which would make starting tomorrow a bit difficult. But i’ll be right there with you every step of the way!
I am definitely in. I will start on Jan2 as well.
