Keeping Your New Year Resolutions

by Raylen on December 29, 2008

As 2008 winds to a close I was thinking about how I could help everyone who reads this blog start 2009 off on the right foot, and I think I came up with something you’ll enjoy.

It’s no secret that most New Years resolutions are health related. After all the New Year represents a fresh start and a chance to change the things about yourself you might not be happy with. That could mean shedding a few pounds, eating healthier, or getting rid of some bad habits you might have.

It’s out with the old and in with the new!

But those pesky old habits can be a real devil to get rid of which is why most New Years resolutions don’t stick.

This is what I want to help you with…

As you probably know by now I’m a big fan of the Master Cleanse. I don’t know of any other diet that can do what the Master Cleanse does in such a short period of time. You can literally transform yourself in 10 days, and whether you’re looking to lose weight, break a junk food addiction, clear up your skin, or just feel better and more alive the Master Cleanse can help.

So starting Jan 1. I want to invite you to join me and we can do the Master Cleanse together.

I will make daily posts to this blog and everyone who wants to join in can use the comments section to share their progress as well.

I’ll be following the system I published in my Master Cleanse Secrets ebook so I’m already getting myself mentally prepared for Jan 1 (getting yourself in the proper frame of mind is an important, and often overlooked part of the Master Cleanse). I’ll also be doing the 3 day easing in process I share in the book to help avoid headaches and other side effects by gently transitioning into the cleanse.

There’s never a perfect time to start the Master Cleanse, and it’s easy to find some sort of excuse not to do it, but I think the start of the new year is about the best time you ask for. I also know that having a support group can be a huge help which is why I’ll be sharing my progress right here on this blog, and I encourage you to join in and do the same.

Sound like fun?

Let me know if you’re interested by posting a comment below and I’ll be back with an update tomorrow.

I don’t know if you’ve read my mind because I started my Master Cleanse today. I made me a days supply last night and now on my way to a clean and refreshed frame of mind for 2009. I will love to be a part of this program. Please keep me posted.

interested in the master cleanse program

Bill December 29, 2008 at 4:57 pm

The last time I did the MC I was only able to make it to Day 6. Not because I don’t have the will power, but because of my occupation. I’m a mail carrier with the USPS and I gotta to tell you, some days we have so much mail and work to do it really takes a lot out of you. My energy was so low I was becoming exhausted. I’m trying to plan it where I can take some days off coupled with my regular off days, then I’ll be able to do it without the strain of work. But I’m definitely going to do the full 10 day cleanse. My goal is to do at least 3 or 4 for 2009.

Lesley December 29, 2008 at 5:01 pm

I’ve done an 8 day cleanse recently but I’m up for a 3 day post Christmas clean up, so I’ll join you. Thanks for the suggestion.

Have a Sparkling New Year

Yes i am interested in starting the cleanse on Jan.1,

carol December 29, 2008 at 5:10 pm

I had planned on starting the cleanse on January 1, 2009 as well. So prayerfully it will be beneficial. I look forward to it. I tried at the beginning of December and was not successful but I believe this time will be better.
Thanks for the updates.

Shaniqua December 29, 2008 at 5:16 pm

Hey I got your message and I say let’s do it. I think that if I have a support group whom is also doing this it might make a big difference. In the past I have tried it but got really light headed and wasn’t able to finish.

LaVone December 29, 2008 at 5:16 pm

My husband and I are starting Jan 1st and we are into it. I will let you know how it goes but I am very excited.

My friends and I were planning to begin on Friday, but hey, whats a day earlier. I’ve done it 5 times now and it is just as difficult each time. I would like to follow you tips this time around and see how to eliminate the headaches and if possible, make it a bit easier.

Yes i do wish to shed pounds and I have been quite successful in the past, however, I have a difficult time maintaining after. I do the cleanse also because I have colon complications…IBS and a history of diverticulitis and fibromialgia. Each time I have done the cleanse, I have felt much better, but, like I said before, I have a difficult time maintaining. I need to find a good eating plan for after.

I look forward to this experience.

Kathy December 29, 2008 at 5:42 pm

Hi Raylen,
You have an excellent idea! I’m planning to start the new year with a master cleamnse too. But I’m not going to start on Jan. 1 because of social commitments. I’m planning to start on Jan. 5. I’ll be interested in reading your blog to see how things are going with you. I’ll just be a few days behind.

Jane December 29, 2008 at 5:55 pm

I have done a modified version of this fast before, for fewer days, both times to detoxify, as my weight is just fine. The lemon, however, bothered my system, so had to quit early. I am hoping that won’t happen this time. I am allergic to cayenne, so won’t be using it at all — but I use NAC all the time, so there won’t be much mucus anyway.

Tina Murray December 29, 2008 at 6:16 pm

A girl at work and I are planning on doing this. I did the 10 day cleanse back in April and loved the way I felt. The mental preparation is the absolute key. I will be upfront and honest….I am very interested in jumping on board, but won’t if there is a cost. I agree that it really helps to communicate with others who are doing the same thing, however, I am really skeptical on people who want to help – for a price.

Tony December 29, 2008 at 6:38 pm

thank you and i would love to join you walking in to the new year.

joannie December 29, 2008 at 6:38 pm

Yes I would like to join you, thank you

Anne December 29, 2008 at 6:39 pm

I’m so interested so count me in! I’ve been trying to lose weight and tried eating less, diet pills and exercising. When I do lose the weight, I gain back two folds! I really need to shed this unwanted luggage because it’s causing me a lot of pain – physically (sever back pain), emotionally and psychologically (low self-confidence).

Barbara Fleet December 29, 2008 at 6:40 pm

Yes I am ready to do another cleanse for 10 days on Jan 1

Claudette December 29, 2008 at 6:50 pm

Funny I was surfing the internet to seek over the counter colon cleanse information; I’m glad you emailed. I am interesting; however, I will not be able to start until Monday, January 5th due to an upcoming family reunion. Do provide the information.

ashley December 29, 2008 at 6:56 pm

I have done the master cleanse in october. I lost 20 lbs while I was detoxing and when I was done the weight was still coming off every day. Now its time for me to break these bad eating habbits from thanksgiving and christmas. I am ready and I can’t wait. Like everyone else my plans start new years day. I would love to have a group of people like me to give to and get support from. I stand by the program!

Glen December 29, 2008 at 7:05 pm

Hi Raylen,

I enjoyed your Master Cleanse Secrets tremendously. I would say that this is a “must have” book for 2009. And to be in line with that, will you:

1) Add in more tips and advices. I believe you must have alot of new experiences you can share with us since the last update.

2) Update the master cleanse secret ecover from “updated for 2007″ to “update for 2009″.

Thanks to make 2009 an awesome year to live healthy.

Karen December 29, 2008 at 7:06 pm

sunshine December 29, 2008 at 9:03 pm

Hi! I am interested! What should I do the next few days to prepare? And, can I workout while on the cleanse? Excersise is very important to me and i cant go another 10 days, i have already been off 3 weeks due to weather and holidays, yikes.

Guy December 29, 2008 at 9:08 pm

Hey Raylen, you’re on!

I’m getting ready to start a heavy kettlebell training regimen. I would like to start that training after a good cleanse.

I’m 50 and do have a few aches and some joint stiffness not to mention post holiday bloating, so a cleanse seems right as far as everything goes.

Sandruel December 29, 2008 at 9:11 pm

Hello Raylen,

I completed the Master Cleanse for the entire 10 days, and this was the first time attempting to do it. I wasn’t hungry for the entire duration of the clean; yes I did have some mental problem dealing with the food issue. I thank God for giving me the strength to complete the master cleanse, and my body felt so much better afterwards.

I stopped the master cleanse for about 3 days, and decided to go through the cleansing, for another 10 days, and beyond. I will take one day at a time. Today will be the 1st day of the cleansing of my body. I thank you for the blog.

Sandruel

Nicole December 29, 2008 at 9:46 pm

Success December 29, 2008 at 10:41 pm

Hi! I think this is a great idea! I wish I could join you, however I’m 7 months pregnant. Jan 1st would be such an awesome day to start another cleanse and I can imagine all of the success stories with a large support group! I wish everyone the best of luck! Best wishes for the new year in health, love and prosperity.

Joy December 30, 2008 at 12:27 am

I really want to start the cleanse on the 1st of January but I am just now coming down with a bad cold. I have a horrible sore throat and can feel the rest of my body slowing down. Is it safe to start the cleanse on the first or should I wait until I am fully recovered?
