So You’re Not Losing Weight On The Master Cleanse

A reader wrote in wondering why they haven’t lost as much weight as they expected on the master cleanse..

I’m not sure what going on but I feel like I should have lost more weight then I have. I am on day 13 and have lost 8 pounds, I’m not sure, but it could be because it’s my time of the month. I have no hunger pains and feel full of energy. I have a confession to make, I cheated on day 5 with , don’t laugh, cheddar cheese and cracker and then waffles. I was so upset with myself the next day. But it’s ok, I woke up on day 6 and started all over again, and no cheating this time, cause I’m only cheating myself. Feel good, look good, can’t complain going to do another 5 days and then ease off.
Current weight:120
lost some inches
waist was 25? now it’s 24
thighs were 24? now 23?
hips haven’t changes 39
stay strong everybody :)

First off 8 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! You should also keep in mind that at 120 pounds you’re pretty small, and if you were to look at the percentage of body weight you lost rather then net pounds it’s rather substantial. I love your positive attitude. Keep it up!

Day 2 and I am not going. I went after the first sea salt dose but not after any other. Should I take more then the tsp.? Should I use the tea as well?

Anne, try mixing your liter of water with 1 tablespoon of the sea salt instead of 1 teaspoon. It might be harder to drink, but it works!

Hi! I want to get on the master cleanse, and I was so ready to begin today, but I noticed that I bought Grade A Maple syrup! :(
I can’t seem to find Grade B… but am cringing to start with the substituted product, especially if it’s going to hinder the results! Help! Have you or do you know of anyone that used a different grade of the maple syrup and still got the same results??

I am on day 8, started at 144lbs and have only list 3 lbs, bringing me to 141, which i have maintained for 3 days. I’m following the book exactly, so why haven’t I lost more weight?

I have been on MC for 23 days now and have lost 27 pounds. I don,t understand why I did’t lose 10 pounds in the forth week.
But I feel great with lots of energy. I started at 173 lbs and now weigh 156. I feel and look sexier. This is a present to myself for my 49th birthday.A cleaner,healthier and sexy body! Keep it up people! I have no back pain now,amazing waistline and tons of energy. You cando it. When your tougne is no longer white your body impurity are almost purged. Brush with peroxide and bacon soda. Stay strong and Live long!

Hi I’m on day 20and have only lost 12 lbs. I have not cheated at all and have fallowed the instructions perfectly. Over the last week I have only lost around. 2 lbs a day if that. Safe to say I’m very frustrated does anyone have any suggestions
