New Year Master Cleanse Day 3: Breaking Bad Habits

I hope everyone’s having a great weekend. It’s day 3 of the New Year Master Cleanse. I like to call this hump day because once you get past the third day you tend to slip in to a groove and the master cleanse becomes much easier.

If you drink a lot of caffeine, smoke, or have a strong sugar addiction the first 3 days will likely have you going through some withdrawals. Don’t give up. You’ll find your cravings for these things will be less and less severe as you get further in to the cleanse. Not only that, but if you decide to drop these bad habits for good after you finish the cleanse is the perfect time to do that.

Naturally breaking unhealthy habits is one of the less talked about master cleanse benefits, but it works like a charm.

So far my master cleanse has been gone great. I’m drinking 100 ounces of lemonade, and 200 ounces of filtered water. I’ve been going for two, half hour walks a day, doing about 15 minutes of light yoga in the morning, and doing 25 sit ups two times a day.

I’m also starting to get that light, energized feeling that comes from doing the master cleanse. It’s a really good feeling that’s hard to put into words.

So far there hasn’t been any major cravings or desire to quit.

I’ll try to make another post before bed, but for now keep up the good work everyone!

This is my first day on the cleanse and I did have some difficulty but I’m still pushing on. I know the benenfits will be overwhelming once I get past the first 3 days.

I did have to do a chasers of plain water after every drink of the Sea Salt/water. It was a bit salty for me to stand. I personally do not like the taste of salt so this drink was my battle. I believe I will need to stick with the Laxitive Tea’s.

I know we can all do this together. I’m open for any hints and direction to help me make it through the next 10 days.

I have such a hard time with the sea salt as well, I squezze a little lemon it it to help it go down.

Today is my first day and first time on the Master Cleanse. I followed the directions on the web intitled Master Cleanse Secrets. I made 60 ounches of lemonade with filtered water, and freshly squeezed organice lemons, organic maple syrup grade A (the store was out of Grade B) and cayenne pepper. I drank the lemonade cold. Last night I had 8 ounches of Smooth Move laxative tea (hot) before going to bed and first thing this morning I had 32 ounches of filtered water mixed with 1 tablespoon of sea salt (room temp). I have seen very little results today, is this normal? I am regular in the morning; I did have a soft bowel movement. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may be doing incorrectly.

I just finished day 3 and they say it gets easier from here on out so I’m stoked. Like the others the SWF is the hardest part. I tried to get it down but could only manage to drink half of the stuff and felt nauseous doing so. So I’m sticking with the tea in the morning and tea at night. I might try the SWF tomorrow morning who knows.

Anyone else running around with a drippy nose? Also, has anyone else found that the longer they stay up, the stronger the hunger pangs become? I’m going to bed before I get hungry lol.

Day 3 is over and I did it! I surprised myself–I feel proud. 7 more days to go and after 3 days I am still determined to do it.

you need 2 tsp of salt with 32 oz of warm water, I drink mine as warm as I can take and for the next 2 hrs I’m flushing away….hahaha.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE…HAPPY SUNDAY.
I AM ON MY 5TH DAY OF THE MASTER CLEANSE…IT HAS BEEN A JOURNEY. I HAVE TO ADMIT…I HAVE BEEN, AS RAYLAN SAYS U CAN, A BIT OF A CHEATER IN THE RESPECT OF GRAZING ALITTLE BIT IN THE AFTERNOONS ON A FEW CHERRY TOMATOES, OR GRAPES,OR ORGANIC MESCLUN GREENS….BUT THATS IT.

I WAS A PRETTY HEAVY DRINKER…(EVERYDAY,A COUPLE OF MARTINIS)…AND SMOKE OCCASSIONALLY…AND HAVE NOT HAD THE DESIRE.

iVE NOTICED THAT MY SKIN IS MORE GLOWING,AND MY DARK CIRCLES UNDER MY EYES ARE LESS APPARENT. AND THE CRAZIEST THING…..I CANT SLEEP MORE THAN 6 HOURS AT A TIME….AND I WAS A SLEEPER BEFORE, NEEDING A NAP.

THE HARDEST HAS BEEN THE SEASALT FLUSH IN THE MORNING…BUT GUYS…IF U CAN DO IT….IT WORKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE TEA. I DRINK THE TEA AT NIGHT, THEN IN THE MORNING I TAKE A GLASS OF PSYLLIUM HUSKS IN 8OZ,OF WATER, THEN THE SALT WATER…WITHIN 20 MIN….BOOM. BUT THE PSYLLIUM SEEMS TO GET MORE OUT OF ME ,THAN JUST LIQUIDS…AND IM FINALLY “SEEING” WHAT I WAS EXPECTING….
I ALSO PURCHASED WHEAT GRASS POWDER, AND HAVE BEEN MIXING THAT IN MT LEMONADE A BIT EVERY DAY.
ONE BTW….AS RAYLAN SAYS IN HER BOOK….DON’T TAKE VITAMINS UNLESS U MUST ON YOUR’ MC….
YESTERDAY, I THOUGHT I’D TRY THEM(WHICH INCLUDED A PRESCRIPTION FORM OF B COMPLEX,CALLED METANX….AND I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TOO JUMP OUT OF MY SKIN!!!!! I WAS RUNNING AROUNG THE HOUSE…PACING…LIKE I HAD JUST SNORTED COCAINE. WAY TOO MUCH ENERGY….IM SURE IT WAS THE COMBO OF THE MC, WHEAT GRASS,AND…VITAMINS…..TOO MUCH FOR ME.

ITS IMPORTANT TO NOTE…I HAVE BEEN ON VACATION, AND WILL BE TILL DAY 8….IM LUCKY ENOUGH TO STAY CLOSE TO HOME,AND TOLD MY FRIENDS’ I WAS GOING TO BE DROPPING OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH FOR A BIT.

IVE BEEN USING THE TREADMILL 2X A DAY FAST WALKING FOR 45 MIN AT A TIME….AND THEN USING RESISTANCE BANDS FOR MUSCLE CONDITIONING ABOUT 3X A DAY. SO FAR, I HAVE LOST 6 POUNDS…BUT I THINK ITS MORE ABOUT “INCHES”…MY TUMMY IS WAAAAAAY FLATTER, MY “SIDE ROLLS” ARE LEAVING…AND I’M NOT SO DAMN CRABBY…YOU ALMOST MEET A CALM, EUPHORIC STATE IF U CAN GET PAST THOSE FIRST 3 DAYS OF FEELING A BIT PISSED OFF!!!! LOL….l WILL COMPLETE MY 10 DAYS, AND I PLAN ON USING THE MC FOR BREAKFAST AND LUNCH AND THEN A REASONABLE DINNER UNTIL I REACH MY GOAL WEIGHT. I WILL POST AGAIN ON MY 10TH DAY……IM HEARING THE “GURGGLES”….BETTER GO!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE…..

I started on Jan. 2, and found by the early evening I had a severe migrane. I think it was due to not having my first cup of coffee in the morning. However, I am going to start fresh on Jan. 5 and hope to stay on the Master Cleanse for more then 10 days. Good luck to all!!

HI everyone,
My boyfriend and I are doing the cleanse together. Today is the morning of day 2 for us. He has been using the bathroom non-stop and today he woke up with a sore throat and he is very mucusy (is that a word?). Things are normal for me. No runs to the bathroom, just some light cramping. The cravings kicked in last night. We both wanted burritos and pizza, which is wierd because i don’t normally eat junk food. I have my fingers crossed we’ll make it to day 4. We’re going for 10. Seeing everyone doing this is inspiring and I will try to keep up.

Lost another pound so now am down 7.6 pounds after
finishing 3 days and am on Day 4 now I decided to add the MC Secrets too just like Andrew above #7 I have taken 2 T. of Wheatgrass powder today (one T. wheatgrass with 10 oz.water and little stevia) that makes it go down alot easier. Also did the Psyllium Husk powder 2 times. (1T psyllium with 10 oz.lemonade) I’m doing my own thing and added to that ground up flaxseed too !/4 c. each drink (that adds more slippery bulk plus protein) and Bentonite Powder 1 t. each drink. Bentenite cleans out the toxins in your intestinal tract. Am getting better results with cleaning out my bowels. YOU have to make sure you drink more water if you add this. (Like another 10 oz each tiime.) I can’t believe the difference I don’t feel hungry at all like I can do this forever. I’ll update you more tommorrow.

Hey everyone!

Cheers to the MC and more lemonade! Day three going on day four here. Probably one of the biggest challenges, considering my career as a chef. I’m pushing right on through. The biggest hump is getting off my Diet coke and pellegrino habit.

Good call, hate to repeat another question, but day 11 is completley cutting out the lemonade? I love the lemonade, and I alternate with a fresh lemongrass tea with a little maple. Mmm.

Thanks for having this website. I’m really excited to be able to read others feedback on this. It’s a great form of support!

Question. I have been reading that the Master’s Cleanse, as written should not be added to or taken from (ingredients). Why are so many people adding wheat grass, etc.? I would think it would be best as originally written. That is also what Peter Glickman’s book “LOSE WEIGHT, HAVE MORE ENERGY & BE HAPPIER IN 10 DAYS” says to. Not to deviate from the plan as written.

I started my cleanse yesterday; I drank 60 oz. of the lemon cocktail and 8 oz. of the smooth move tea. I had a few moments of hunger but took another drink of the cocktail and it went away. Now this morning, day 2, I am drinking the salt water drink and can already feel it working. But I am not hungry whatsoever. I even have to force down the salt water drink. I will check in with you all tomorrow with my full report.
Also, I take 3 medications per day, blood pressure, thyroid & sugar glucose; I was not going to take them at all on day 1 but found that my vision started to blur and that is a sign of my BP and/or glucose levels being high. So I took them late in the afternoon and immediately the vision cleared up. My doctor gave me permission to do this cleanse. I could take my meds very early in the morning and give them 4 hours to do their thing but I’m thinking with my doing the salt water drink in the morning, I should take my meds in the middle of the day well after the salt water wears off. Anyone else out there sharing this same situation with taking medications?

I am a diabetic and on day one. Its m 3rd try but I am going to do it. does anyone know if diabetics need to substitutute molassis for the syrup, i mean will the cleanse still work?
