How To Quickly Lose 10 Pounds Without Suffering

You just receive the invitation to your family reunion and found out it will be professionally filmed and photographed–and earlier this morning the scale informed you’re a few pounds away from your ideal weight.
Don’t panic, because there are some quick ways to drop the weight and bring you closer to the real you. In fact, you don’t have to jump rope like you’re on Rocky audition, and you won’t have to visit a surgeon to have your stomach stapled. In fact you can lose as much as a pound a day by simply modifying your current lifestyle habits. Here’s how:
- Halve-it: This is simple science, if you are only eating half of the calories you normally consume, you will lose weight. Portion control is one of the best ways to shed weight quickly. Do not change what you eat; just eat exactly half of what you would normally eat for lunch and dinner. For breakfast, eat a full, but well balanced meal before 9:30am, to ensure that you can burn it all off.
- Practice the Cinderella-Carb Rule: Avoid eating carbs after 12:00pm (noon). Increase your level of vegetables and proteins for lunch and dinner. You can keep the pancakes; just make sure they’re in the morning. This will ensure you have enough energy throughout the day but also gain the benefits of losing weight.
- Make better choices: OK, fried chicken is finger-licking good, but so is a baked chicken breast and it has fewer calories. Eat the foods you like, but eat them from cooking methods that are healthier. Steamed, baked, poached and pan-seared are all better methods than fried (and remember to halve it). Substituting whole milk to skim milk in your cups of coffee can shave off hundreds of calories.
- Snack Switch: If you sneak snacks, replace all candies and pastries with pieces of fruit or nut butters (like almond or peanut butter). Oranges, bananas are also full of the sugar your body wants, but it also has vitamins and nutrients and far less empty calories. Even better are some vegetables which are tasty and filling like cucumbers and carrots. Have as many of those that you want. Drinking water to fill your stomach up is a great trick to getting rid of hunger pains; it’s a well known trick that professional models use.
- Sodas and Juices: Eliminate these guys for the duration of time you’re trying to lose weight and watch the pounds melt off your body. Soda and juices are liquid sugar and they are the single biggest culprits in keeping you fat. Instead, drink water or green tea. If you can’t shake the habit, at least move to diet sodas like Air Force Nutrisoda which has no sugar or artificial sweeteners, and try your best to halve the portion. If you are craving a juice, eat the fruit instead and get both the taste and nutrients that the juice lacks.
- Take the Long Way: Find ways to increase your walking. Park in the furthest place possible at your work parking lot and walk. When you have breaks, walk somewhere, any where. Take stairs when you can. For lunch, go to a mall, eat your meal at the food court and spend twenty minutes walking. You don’t even have to sweat…just walk. These tiny expenditures of calories are like ATM fees, they eventually add up–but this time in your favor!
- Sweat it out: If you belong to a gym, use the steam room and sauna. Sweating burns an amazing amount of calories and keeps your metabolism in fifth gear long after after your sweat. The other perk is that sweating is great for the skin.
- Wine/Beer/Liquor: Limit yourself to no more than one beer/glass of wine/or cocktail per day.
If you can practice these tips for two weeks, you should be able to shed at least 10 pounds off of your body.

Hi Raylen these are some great tips. People don’t realize how powerful a few small changes can be. I was one of those people who spent years searching for the one big weight loss breakthrough that would zap away all the fat on my body. Of course there was no magic pill, or 5-minute-a-day gadget.
Then I sat down one day with a clean sheet of paper and made a list of things that will help me lose weight and things that are keeping me fat. Writing out that list was like having a bucket of cold water thrown in my face.
* I was spending 4-6 hours a day sprawled out on my Lazy-Boy watching TV - that was time I could have spent outside enjoying life and burning calories.
* I would drink at least 3 cans of soda per day which was around 3,000 empty calories a week (1 pound of fat = 3,500 calories)
This list became my blueprint for the new me and for the first time in my life I’m thin and proud of my body. My dating life has gone from nonexistent to more then I can handle and the past year has been filled with more fun and adventure then all my “fat years” combined.
I owe all this to making a dozen or so tweaks to my diet and lifestyle that anyone could do with just a pinch of commitment and a tiny bit of will power.
For a really easy diet that never leaves you hungry and keeps you burning fat around the clock I suggest the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet. That website has the book and the meal generator so the only way it won’t work for you is if you go out of your way to not follow the steps.
Next you have to get off your butt. I don’t like gyms so I try to get outdoors. Even things like going to fairs or outdoor concerts are a great way to log 5-6 miles of walking, and have a blast at the same time.
I hope everyone who wants to lose weight takes this to heart and starts making these changes today. I know it seems impossible, but when you finally do it you’ll look back and kick yourself for not losing weight sooner.

Pretty good advice….However, advising anyone to replace sugared soda with diet soda should not be done in good conscience. One only needs to spend an hour searching the net to find great quantities of information which confirms the
great harm that aspartame does to our bodies.
These are great tips, but under no circumstances would I ever tell anyone to drink diet soda!!! Aspartame is one of the worst things you can ever put in your body. “Diet” foods do not work. All this sugar like chemical does is make you more fat. I am all for quick tips on loosing weight, but please do not make comments that will danger the over health of people’s body. I agree, grab some water. It’s does wonders!
Thanks for the tips. After my cleanse I really wanted to make some changes in my diet. In stead of eating meats, I added more nuts. Soy nuts, Almond milk and Hemp. Putting some help milk in my tea really added more.

good food mind you (well, the odd cake sneaked in on my diet) but eating too much and too late….This resulted in my gaining back 5 pounds and I am not as toned as I was. I was thinking of going back on the master cleanse…do you think i should, or just simply follow the 10 quick ways to loose weight you noted above…Thanks!!!
Firstly I want to say that I did the 10 day Master Cleanse and once you get over the third day it becomes easier and the results truly amazing….Within 10 days i lost 10 pounds hitting my ideal weight target…my skin is so clear and made me feel so confident and it was a good feeling knowing that my body is cleansed of all junk!! unfortunately a week off the master cleanse I slipped up and ate like food was going out of style
This is my second Master Cleanse and my husbands first full 10 day cleanse. He will do the 3 day after cleanse slow reentry to eating food. I plan on sticking to the cleanse until my tongue is completely pink. We both fell pretty good but my husband’s day 10 was a hard one but he stuck to it with my help. I am sure this will encourage us to make better choices and use portion control and now we are retired we can start doing some much needed exercise. We’ll be starting slowly paetly due to our age and we are out of shape. I loved the tips and everyones response.
Well those tips sure work but I agree that diet soda can be harmful for the body so it s a no no for me.
i did the mastercleanse for the 10 days and i lost 15pounds i plan to do the cleanse one more time this year
Writing down everything you eat helps a lot when trying to lose weight. It makes you more accountable and you get to see where you can cut back and what you can change in your eating. They’ve got a great community of people who are all there to help you out. I recommend it to everyone!
I’ve had to substitute Molasses for the Maple syrup because I’ve got diabetes 2. The molasses tasted terrible and I quit after 4 days. I really couldn’t swallow another ounce of that stuff. Does any one know of a better substitute that is at least as palatable as Maple syrup (yes I tasted a friends mixture)?

Hi,i’m going to start master cleanse tomorrow but i had a question before starting it so that i can make sure that i’m on the right path,i’m not overweight but i do have few extra pounds on ,in short i just want to be thinner.So my question is that being on cleanse for 10 days,in how many days i will notice the difference in my weight?will it be a fast process or i will lose weight but just very few pounds?Please make clear in how much time i will notice the differences in my weight.
I did the mc for 20 days and lost 30lbs. I have since substituted breakfast/lunch with the drink and a light dinner of veggies, fish, chicken.. I was not a fat person but needed to lose some weight and get fit/healthy.. You will start to notice the difference in your body from the 1st day/2nd day so by day 5 people will start to see a difference in you.. Yes it is a very fast and amazing process by the 3rd my co workers had started to see a difference in me….. I am 5′5′ was 178lbs wearing a size 13 and now i am 130lbs wearing a size 7.
