Grade B Maple Syrup

by Raylen on March 23, 2007

I’ve been reading through the comments and it looks like some of you are having trouble tracking down grade B maple syrup. It might not seem like a big deal to substitute regular commercial brand maple syrup, but it actually is. The refinement process for comercial syrup strips it of its minerals, and while you’re on the Master Cleanse it’s important that your body gets the vital nutrition that grade B maple syrup provides.

If you can’t find grade B maple syrup my advice would be to try your local health food store. You can also check your regular grocery store, but be sure to check the product labels yourself because most store employees probably won’t no the difference between grade B maple syrup and regular maple syrup.

If you still can’t find any grade B maple syrup you can always order some online. The link below will take you to Amazon.com which sells grade B maple syrup, and offers speedy shipping. You an also do a Google search for “grade B maple syrup” which turns up a few sites selling grade B maple syrup.

PS. It looks like I’m going to go on a Spring Master Cleanse some time next week. I’m open to starting any time, if there’s a specific day you would like to kick this thing off let me know.

Grade B is recommended by the dietician that created this diet because it is more nutrient rich and does not go through a refinement process that depletes the vitamins you need during the cleanse. You can find Grade B maple syrup online… I did. I buy mine from this site called TheLemonadeSite.com. They have master cleanse kits and a whole bunch of other products for this diet. Hope that helped!

For those of you who say they are at a plateau;
You need to up the pace, you say you are feeling
great and walking and exercising then you need to
change up. Try a different exercise or walk more or
start yoga or something totally different than your
routine. You will see instant results once you change
up. I promise. Unless there is something medically
wrong with you, there will be results. Change it
up people……in the know………pattie

Unfortunately, for people like myself who are military and living overseas, many places will not ship food items to APO or FPO addresses. So, I am stuck with Grade A.

The question I have for this detoxing system is ,considering that Black Strap Molasses has an abundently more amount of minerals by far than , a Grade B Maple Syurp , couldnt someone substitute the two ingredients and get even a better result?

I would suggest doing the “Master Cleanse” not as a weight loss method but more as a hey i’m going to start eating healthier and before i can do that fully. i need to get out the “bad stuff” out and start anew. if you do the cleanse and go right back to eating fast food you will gain the weight and more back from doing so.

I completed my Day-10 of the Master Cleanse four days ago. I did it to learn good and new eating habits. I am happy I completed the whole 10 days. It was not easy, of course. The first 2 days were really tough, almost all of the side effects mentioned here were on me. However, things started to get easier from Day 3 onwards. To my surprise though, day 8 was very very tough. Just one side effect–hunger pains, solid food cravings …I just kept drinking the lemonade juice and occupied myself by doing some house cleaning, before I knew it the day was over. I feel very good with myself, definately lighter in the midsection where I had a nasty bulge. I am currently wearing pants I had not worn for almost a year. I have not weighed myself to see how much I lost, since that was not my goal. But I definately feel lighter and very very happy with myself. One big positive after the Master Cleanse is that my cravings for junk/unhealthy foods have decreased and nearly gone. This program or diet may be tough to do, but IT REALLY WORKS. Thanks everyone.

as one who has helped with maple syrup production, i would have to disagree that there is any difference in the way grade a and grade b are processed.

the grading is in color only. there are some additional minerals in the darker grade b, and even more so in the very rich grade c, but the temperature that day and when in the season the syrup is produced determine the color, and thus the grade.

sorry if i am contradicting anyone, and please let me know if you have personal experience that is different than mine.

NO! if you are a diabetic do not eat maple syrup and expect your blood sugar to stay good. it will shoot up!

3 Questions:
Do medications affect the cleansing process? (adderrall)
Do tobacco products affect it?
Are Multivitamins allowed?

Blackstrap Molasses does indeed contain much more minerals and nutrients than maple syrup. I question the scientific basis of this lemonade diet.
