Dear Raylen:

I’ve read about many different ways of doing a cleanse, but your way seems to be the easiest and most effective, based on the testimonials I’ve read.

I’m about 100 lbs. overweight, aged 76, and have never done a cleanse. I seem to be reluctant to do one (fear, perhaps?) but I also have a strong feeling that once I do a cleanse, I’ll probably feel better… I have chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, depression (sometimes) and, unfortunately, I don’t exercise (joint problems).

One of my fears, if you can believe this, is that I may clog the toilet with who-knows-what (parasites and clogged feces, etc.), but I also fear the process itself. I have a conventional medical doctor who doesn’t believe in cleanses, so there’s no point in checking in with him…

If I did the 3-day cleanse at first, in your opinion, what may be some of the benefits I’ll experience? I’m looking forward to your response, Raylen, for which I thank you so much!

You know:
I’m in advertising. I’ve been in advertising for 25 years. And I’ve been completely successful in all areas of the creative solutions I’ve created for my clients. And that’s because it all speaks to the soul of the viewer with integrity, honesty, humor and heart.

Your site is not awful. It’s just ridiculously hard to read and cumbersome to maneuver.
What’s more, it looks commercial and not authentic. If I were your agency, I would tell you that it most likely belies the integrity I am sure you have.

It’s not that all advertising agencies and marketing directors lack integrity. It’s that many just lack creative talent and ingenuity, and most importantly, the proper marketing instincts to make their ideas resonate with truth and effectiveness.

If you really hate your site, call me.
I might be able to make you twice as successful as you are now. How? By helping you look like you are the real, live thing.

By the way. I did the master cleanse diet for four days. I probably could have done it longer had it been easier for me to get the “secrets” It just took me too long to figure out how.

That I can also fix.

Sincerely,

Hi Raylen

I have been on the cleanse for 3 days and this morning I woke with a sore lower back. I thought it might be the bed I was sleeping on but it has continued to hurt me through the day.

Its more on the right bottow back side so I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the colon being cleaned out…have you heard of this before?

LUCINDA May 16, 2008 at 8:55 am

I wanted to know if there was some book store that sell your book or do you have to get from your site?

Shamona May 17, 2008 at 8:49 am

I have never done a cleanse before…I’m thinking about doing this master cleanse, but I do not need to lose weight. Is it ok to eat normal while doing the cleanse, so there is no weight loss? Or does this defeat the purpose?

josephine black May 26, 2008 at 7:21 pm

My niece has started the cleanse and I want to have her to start reading your newsletter, but I need to enroll her…please email me the site to sign her up for the newsletter.

mary May 27, 2008 at 5:04 pm

where do you get the maple syrup from?? i’m having the hardest time finding it, could you give me a list of stores that sell it, by the way i dont live near a trader joes or whole foods store, and those are the only two stores i know that sells it. please reply, i want to start this diet really badly!

katie May 27, 2008 at 5:07 pm

if you dont use any salt, will the diet still work?

Jessica May 28, 2008 at 9:13 am

I am about the start the master cleanser this weekend, I just want to know if there is anything i have to do before starting the lemonade drink?

Rebecca DeCamillis June 17, 2008 at 12:34 pm

Hi,
My name is Rebecca and this is my second day on the cleanse. Although I haven’t cheated, I am still smoking. I am wondering if I will still get the benefits of the cleanse if I continue to smoke? It sounds terrible I know, but I just can’t seem to quit.

D June 23, 2008 at 8:46 pm

I bought your book today. I am currently reading it.

I plan on taking measurements, and lots of pictures. I have already bought a white plastic collander (for the “evidence shots”).

I hope to make this study as complete and as descriptive as possible, so it can inspire others to take the plunge.

I may just use it all in an affiliate site…

I bought a gallon of Grade B Maple Syrup, 60 lemons, sea salt and Cayenne (Red) pepper. I will buy a 5-gallon water bottle and will get it refilled as needed. I will purchase the Aquasana filter later on.

A couple of questions…
I would like to know if I can substitute chlorella for the wheat grass. My understanding is that it has a high concentration of both protein (according to nutrition information a 1tsp/3g serving of chlorella provides 2g of protein and 60 mg of chlorophyll).

If the answer is yes, what would be your recommended intake per day of the chlorella?

Thank you in advance for your prompt reply.

The video you will be posting on how to make the lemonade is not correct. I have had Stanley prepare me a glass of lemonade, it was made fresh each glass not from a half gallon premixed. Once it sits for more than 10 mins. it is dead, the enzymes have been oxidized and the cleansing benefits are lost. Stanley also did not use a tincture and recommended more cayenne for quicker results, I have seen people use 1 tsp. of cayenne per glass. This of course is too much for 99% of the population. My book “The Complete Master Cleanse” will go into more detail on this very important aspect of the cleanse.

Janet July 2, 2008 at 2:11 pm

Dear Raylen,

I have done the master cleanse, 10 days. I made it through, but never had the cleansing of the colon as claimed-you know the gooey pooey. I did get caffiene free and craving free.

I am also a student of vibro-acoustics and bio-resonance, and homeopathy. The Detoxing Patch is a digital homeopathic. If you knew more about homeopathy and digital homeopathy, you might not react this way.

Slamming another product does not make yours better. There are plenty of sites telling about how the master cleanse is a sham too.

This e-mail is unbecoming to you.

Hi Janet, I just got back from a trip around the

I’m running late for my martial arts class, but
I MUST let you know about this scam.

It’s called the Detox Patch.

Most of us Master Cleanse’ers know the benefits of
detoxing our body. It’s one of the main reasons we
use the Master Cleanse, and there’s no question about
how great it feels to eliminate all the waste from your
body.

But You Can’t Get “Master Cleanse” Results Using A Patch! I
wish it was that easy. But it’s not.

Here’s some of the things this patch claims to remove from
your body (try not laugh when you read these)

* Pesticides
* Cholesterol
* Trans fats

Even worse this patch cost over $100 for a 1 month supply.

Keeping your body pure and healthy is something we all
want, but please don’t think you can do that by sucking
the waste out with a patch.

The Master Cleanse has been around for over 50 years and

Dear Ray,

I’ve done the master cleanse five times. I payed and downloaded your information because I thought I’d find two things; the secrets to losing weight because in the past I have decreased the amount of maple syrup to half and wanted to know if that was O.K. and perhaps one way to lose extra pounds or find out if decreasing the syrup could be a problem health wise and what foods were recommended although I can live without the food… the other thing was beginning correctly which I think I’ve been successful @ with the salt drink and drinking the tea in the evenings and first thing in the morning. Is there a specific brand of salt you recommend?

I hope you can answer these questions. I will begin my fast in just a few days.
Thank You,
Evelyn Daitchman

I was curious if you can do the clease for less than 10 days?

cheryl July 31, 2008 at 5:25 am

Can I continue to take Citrucel while on the diet?

Janel July 31, 2008 at 4:07 pm

Hi Raylen,
I noticed my question was posted here a few times but no answers….. I have not had any ‘cleansing’ bowel movements and have been on the cleanse for 6 days now. I use the Psyllium Husks and do the Salt water drink. My husband goes to the bathroom almost immediatly after drinking the salt water but I don’t. I have lost 7 lbs and he has lost 8 lbs. I feel fantastic and full of energy, but when will I start to see the cleansing?

Tammy August 14, 2008 at 10:47 am

I have tried several times to buy the book you sell, but when I click on the Add to Cart, it doesn’t do anything!!! It is getting very annoying!! Do you have a phone number for customer service so I can call and order it?

frankie August 16, 2008 at 12:34 pm

Is it ok to do the cleanse during your monthly periods or is it better to wait?

Jodie Scioneaux August 17, 2008 at 8:42 pm

Will I lose muscle if I do the Master Cleanse if I am not consuming any protein? I work out quite a bit (cardio and weight training). Please let me know.

Thanks.

Jessie August 31, 2008 at 6:56 pm

I attempted the Cleanse and I failed on day nine. I actually had been cheating with occational grape or two or three…. throughout the previous nine days. I want to clease my body because I suffer from acne. I would like to know how long before I can try the clease again. I would like to try as soon as possible. my husband urges me to eat right for a month and then try again. This seems soooo far away. Would 2 weeks be alright?

Chris September 4, 2008 at 8:48 pm

Is it normal to be constapated after 2 days on the diet. I have been taking the Physllum Husk in the a.m. and drinking about 70 to 60 oz. of lemonade a day and about a gallon of water a day then doing the sea salt rinse before bed. I havent had a bowl movement yet. Is this normal and what can I do to change this.

You mentioned detox patches. After much research I found that they are toxic due to the wood vinegar distillates processing. The moistened patches allow a transdermal ADsorption and the solvents from the cheap wood vinegar enter your body. Many of the symptoms that people complain about with the cleansing patch, are actually toxic reactions to the absorbed wood vinegar solvents. See below

Stefan Czernik & James Diebold
The Toxicity of Biomass Liquids Formed at Low Temperatures
Review by Stefan Czernik (NREL) of report (NREL/TP-430-22739) by James P. Diebold (Thermalchemie),USA
Introduction
The scale-up of biomass fast pyrolysis systems for production of liquids will expose an
increasingly large number of personnel to potential health hazards. Although fast pyrolysis
technologies that are optimised for high yields of liquids are relatively new, slow pyrolysis
processes have been used for many centuries to produce charcoal and liquid by-products such as
food preservatives and flavours, and wood distillates. Although wood distillates have a different quantitative composition, they contain a large number of the same components. Thus the existing studies on the hazards of acute and long-term exposure to traditional wood pyrolysis liquids can be useful in assessing the health hazards of the oils.
Noxious components
The toxicity of oils is a function of their composition, which depends on the process and its conditions, and the feedstock. The main classes of chemicals in biomass pyrolysis liquids are: organic acids, aldehydes, ketones, esters, phenolics, and furans. The total amount of aromatic hydrocarbons in the oils generated below 550° is only 0.06 wt. %. Based on the known amounts of specific compounds in the oils and their permissible exposure levels (PEL) established by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, it can be concluded that aldehydes
(formaldehyde, acrolein), furans (furfural alcohol), and phenols (phenol, 2,3 – dimethyl
phenol, 1,4-dihydroxy phenol) pose the greatest toxic threat. The projected acute oral toxicity
of the oils would be around 700 mg/kg of body weight.
Toxicity Tests
Both chronic and acute toxicity tests have been performed on fast pyrolysis oils generated in the
NREL vortex reactor system. The chronic toxicity of the oils is unclear, with one study indicating no tumor promoting ability and the other study showing mutagenicity. While the amount of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in fast pyrolysis oils is very small, the presence of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde could cause dangerous long-term effects. The acute toxicity tests showed a low effect of the oils to the skin with no abnormalities observed after contact after 15
days. Eyes, however, are very sensitive to pyrolysis liquids with probable severe corneal
damage resulting from even low exposure. Such a result is not surprising considering the high
content of organic acids, aldehydes, and phenols. Inhalation tests found that damage results from
much higher levels than that causing eye irritation and possible damage.
Conclusion
Based on these acute exposures tests it is recommended that the Material Safety Data
Sheet (MSDS) contain a warning label stating that fast pyrolysis oils are a hazardous substance
to the eyes and to inhalation exposure, but not to dermal exposure. The oils can be handled
safely using personnel protective gear, such as rubber gloves, goggles, and protective clothing.
This summary is taken from an in-depth review of the health and safety aspects of pyrolysis liquids that was carried out for the IEA
Bioenergy Pyrolysis Activity, NREL
and Natural Resources Canada.
It is published by NREL. (NREL/TP-430-22739)

Hello Raylene,
If I went on the Master Cleanse, will it effect my ability to function normally on a day to day basis, while I am on it.
Will I still be able to go to work, etc…

Thank you

Sandro October 1, 2008 at 5:05 am

I’m a 32 year old male and I’ve been diagnosed with a h.pylori bacterial infection nad may have even bleeding ulcers that just won’t let me sleep at night and makes me feel miserable during the day everytime I see the doctor they just tell me I have acid reflux and prescribe antiacid that just make matters worse… I’m desperate… . I want to try the Master Cleanse but I don’t know if there is any risk that my condition may worsen.

NoNoNo October 2, 2008 at 10:18 pm

DO NOT DO IT.
When you do the Master Cleanse, it really weakens your immune system because you’re fasting and your body is not receiving the vitamins and minerals from food that it needs to fight off infection. You already have infection. Not to mention, for the Master Cleanse you have to do a saline flush in the morning and a laxative tea at night, let me tell you it is extremely uncomfortable as it is… I think you could like, go into shock from the pain if you have ULCERS! The flush and laxative also strip your intestines of vital “good” bacteria, which makes your body even more susceptable to infection and irritates the intestines. Last but not least, I don’t think the cayenne pepper and your acid reflux would get along. All that being said…
NOT A GOOD IDEA!
p.s. I’m being very objective because personally, I liked the master cleanse. But realistically, I just think you have too many serious risks and it just isn’t the right cleanse for you. Consult your doctor and good luck!

Hi, Raylen Sterling

I recently went to eat out with my family and after eating my stomach started to really hurt. So I thought maybe I ate something bad. But I was not sure. So I just went to sleep and the next morning I felt fine. But then that night I felt this sharp pain in my lower left abs. I dont know what is wrong. Its like this very sharp pain. I also haven’t gone to the bathroom every since eating out with my family. I really dont know whats wrong with me, can you please give me some advice? Will the Master Cleanse work in my situation????

Hello, I would like to know is it safe for me to do the master cleanse while on prescription medication that i take twice a day.

Anonymous October 5, 2008 at 9:31 pm

Hello Raylene
I would like more info on the master cleanse before i start because i am on prescription medication i am under the doctors care and i would like to know will the master cleanse erase every tracy medication from my body so is it safe for me to try the master cleanse or not? Please Respone ASAP?

Kaye October 6, 2008 at 3:10 pm

Hi Raylene,
I plan to start the Master Cleanse Diet next week and want to know if it is okay to continue my medications while on the diet. I know the object is to detox my body of all toxins and I would at some time like to “heal” myself and not longer need any presecription medications but I am afraid to go cold turkey. Will the Master Cleanse diet work for me?
Thank you.

Peyton Jacks October 15, 2008 at 12:12 pm

I would like to do a cleanse before the holidays but this is such a busy time for me. Although it is not being a purist as I would prefer, can I use the premix I saw in the healthfood store as an alternative method to squeezing and making my own? Would it be better not to do the cleanse at all if I use the premix? What are your thoughts please!!!!!

merrie October 17, 2008 at 10:23 am

Hi Raylen: I downloaded the free “master cleanse secret report” to MS-Word, but can’t read it as it’s encrypted! What am I doing wrong?

Peyton Jacks October 17, 2008 at 2:32 pm

I heard that the premix version called Simply Slender really has a lot more benefits than the original diet because of all the extra nutrients from the new “super fruits” that they are discovering now. The one I am especially excited that I know more about is Acai as one of the best for all the anti-oxidents. I know they are very good for fight all the free radicals. I am going to try it for the 4 days recommended as I can still eat fresh fruits and vegetables on it. My doctor has approved for me to do this version. I will let you know how it works!

Peyton Jacks October 20, 2008 at 12:37 pm

I didn’t get a reply about using the new version of the lemonade diet called Simply Slender so that is what I have starting using for my first cleanse. I started Saturday so this is my 3rd day on a 4 day cleanse. Remarkably this has been quite easy for me. I have not eaten anything or even needed to drink a laxative tea so far. I am counting down. I did have headache the 2nd day and a headache today although it isn’t as bad as yesterday. I am assuming it is a caffeine withdrawal thing. It makes me aware that I should not go back on caffeine one I am over this cleanse. It can’t be good for me after all it is a drug. Comments appreciated. I will keep you posted on my journey.

sharon henderson October 27, 2008 at 11:25 am

Thank you for your emails! I do have some questions…. And haven’t quite found the answers I need. I have a daughter who is high functioning, but very autistic. She takes many medications, even one for seizures. If I could ever get her to do a cleanse, I think it would be good for her. I worry about her having good internal organ health, with all the meds she takes. She also has had a severe allergic reaction to mercury, and the polio vaccine, which messed up something in her colon as well. I cant take her off her meds, because she could have seizures…. But I would love to get her off of them. I think a ‘rest’ would be good for her. She has had pin worms many times, and probably could have something else in there…..

Do you have any other clients with similar situations and advice?

Hi! I had purchased the best deal package from you. I had a chance to download it once, then my PC picked up an encrypted virus and I lost the entire package. Could you resend
them to me. I paid thru Paypal the 37.$$. I would appreciate it.
I did have the time to take down the ingredts for the lemonaid
drink. I was unable to drink it as it really messed up my stomach and gave me some bad stomach pain…the acids in the drink upset my esophagus track too. I may need to request
a refund. I know you had the guarantee that made the purchase nicer to know I could try and be safe on the purchase. I still am entitled though to the free items that came with the purchase whether refund or able to do program…
Thanks!
