I did everything the book said said to do but i had to stop on day 8 because i became very sick. I had no energy during this cleanse, and i was always hungry. I had to stay close to the bathroom and i couldn't go out much because just walking up stairs drained me. I know others who have done this cleanse and did great on it, but i did not. I am now trying to slowly get back to eating food i started with the fresh orange juice but i ended up throwing it all up and when ever i stud up my vision went black for a moment. If you have to stop the cleanse don't feel bad because we are all different and so are our bodies so can do this and some can't and that's okay. I won't ever do this again but i will change the way I eat from now on. i'm 5"3' and weighted 138pounds now i'm 130pounds and i plan to keep the weight off :)

So on my fourth attempt at the master cleanse over the past few years (one going 8 days, one going 5 and one only going 3 because I got sick and couldn't continue) I have finally reached the 10 days!! I have experienced all the problems everyone mentions in their post and testimonials on past attempts but this time I didn't experience any of the problems. No headaches, No fatigue, No hunger (only the mental want of flavor but that was controllable). I didn't stop my life, I woke up an hour and a half before I needed to leave anywhere. I went to school 5 days a week and on the 7th day even went to a party full of food and alcohol and stayed the course. I would have to give all the credit to my mentality entering the Cleanse and the support of my family and true friends. If you do not have proper perspective and faith in obtaining this goal you will never reach it. If you are doubting you are going to finish, you are pretty much finished before you start. As like me, it may not be the first time it all works out and everything makes sense, but if you are doing the cleanse for the right reasons (not just to lose weight) stay focused make a plan and plan out the ten days that you are going to be on the cleanse. The people around you are not going to stop their lives because your not eating, they are going to cook around you, they will go out to eat, they are going to engage in social outings that involve food and alcohol, they are going to do the same things they were doing before you went on the cleanse. I highly recommend if you plan to do this plan it out. Before you start commit to not eating, it is that simple, you don't need to stop your life you only need to plan around your cleanse.

Today is day 8 for me and gave in for lunch and ate a vegatable soup, small, slowly and felt ok, cause food was going down my mouth. I guess that is what I missed the most. But the hardest for me was day 1 and 2, after that it was fine. I ddn't feel tierd, but felt like I was missing out on things. I went to 2 parties over the weeknd and did fabulous, yes I cheated by tasting the food only, then I stayed away all together. I say this should be done in winter with no parties or family events and when the pantry is empty. This by far has been the most challenging to me, I lost between 5 to 7 pounds not sure. It has made me think about my eating habits and to make better choices in the future. Not sure if I will flush tonight and continue, my will power is just about gone. Help!

Day 9 and I'm not really feeling the benefits everyone says they feel. The first two days it just felt like I was forgetting something, I guess that something was food. Then I got over the ritual of eating, shopping and preparing food and the next couple days got a bit better. It hasn't been extremely hard, but I've been hungry most of the time. I am still craving sugar, coffee and just food in general. I've done the SWF and half the time it yielded no results other then a upset tummy. I've drank smooth move tea as suggested and again nothing. I'm also getting really bored of the lemonaid drink, one day I used limes and that was a nice change. I have a big family party coming up in three days so I think I'm going to wrap this up a day early and start with the OJ tomorrow so I can have two days of liquid prior solid foods this weekend( I'll make good choices, salad, steamed veggies etc) . There is a part of me that wants to condemn myself for stopping a day early but I need to be realistic and I know I will eat this weekend and I don't want to be sick because this is the first food by body has ingested in weeks plus I don't want to make my family uncomfortable and be the primadonna with the special eating criteria. So as for the master cleanse, would I do it again? Maybe - I did it to clean out my system and I have to assume I have, I've lost 7 lbs and I feel okay, just not great and balanced and light and wonderful like I had hoped I would. I have plans to continue my pre-cleanse eating habits of a vegetrian diet, no vegan for me. If you're just starting the program my advise is stay busy it's easier to not think about food when you're busy and keep a journal, I didn't and thinking back I would have liked to keep better track of how I was feeling throughout the process. Best of Luck

So I completed 8 days- lost 13 lbs and was getting bored, but coming off has been awful. I had a little fruit on day one coming off-- big mistake. It went through me in about an hour. Day two was better. OJ and more lemonade- then veggi soup I had made in the crock pot. OK Day 3 Pushed it again-- Good all day, but fish, veggies and a cookie --how stupid is that? OK, I had cramping and BM's all night.. Feel awful and weak this morning. I guess I should "read the box." Today --just fresh squeezed OJ. I am an impatient person, and wonder if I will every eat again.
