About Me

My name is Raylen Sterling. I started publishing the master cleanse secrets newsletter because I’ve gained so much (physically and mentally) from going on the master cleanse that I wanted to share it with others.

Hi Raylen,
I did the master cleanse, and have a few queries.
Firstly, I had very little bowel movement. I actually resorted to taking herbal fibre blend to get it to work properly. As the purpose of the diet is to cleanse the bowel, I was a bit concerned about this. Is this normal?
Secondly, is it usual to get sick of drinking the juice? By the 8th day, I felt like I just couldn’t stomach it anymore, but I kept going.
Thirdly, I would like to know if it is ok to keep drinking the juice once the diet is over? I quite enjoy the taste, as long as I don’t have to drink it all day, and only it!?
I would appreciate your thoughts on these issues.
Many thanks
Adri

Hi Raylen

I’m on my 7th day and even though the first few days were pretty hard (as expected) I feel pretty good over all. How ever my nails cuticle are very sore and inflated. I have been reding up on inflammation factor of foods, and I’ve read a few plases that Lemons as well as maple syrup and Agave syrup are higly inflammatory and should be avoided. What can I do about this problem?

Dear Raylen,
I am on my forth day of the cleanse. Thank you so much for giving the lemon aid diet for “food for thought”! I will be 69 on the ninth of this month
The best I have come across since coming into better health with ways other than the medical Dr.’s.
You give a lot of info to decide if it is for you or not. No matter how much we try to stay on a stict consumtion of the “right” food we tend to go back to our old ways and fall off the wagon.
My question is can I take less like 3 large glasses of the lemon aid for a day? Then continue the next day with the right amount? I am continuing with the wheat grass, laxatives, and water. It is overwelming when I get behind with consuming so much liquid of the lemon aid drink. I figure it should not discourage me enought to throw in the towel.
The effects that I notice now is geting over hunger, remembering which day it is that I am on for the cleanse until I focus, the dakness under my eyes is dissappearing, the virocus vains in my legs have shrunk to spider vains. Mind you they weren’t swollen like some virocus vains I have seen in others. The other thing that I am doing for the cleansing feelings is taking L-Arginine, one if I need it. Dr. Helda Clark recomended it with her parasite cleanse. The toxins are overcome with this help. This is my first blog by the way. Thanks, Marion

I am about to begin the master cleanse in two weeks. I did it last winter and I loved it (even though its hard at times). My only concern is that when I introduced orange juice, about half way through the day I got n awful migraine headache. It must be that I get headaches from large amounts of o.j. since nothing else about my habits had changed.
Any suggestions for alternative juices for breaking the detox?
Thanks!

hi fellow master cleansers!
we can do it!
i am on day five! i am really proud of myself!
i have been wanting to do this cleanse for years and never did.
until now….
day two was the hump for me….so far
i am missing food….the crunch of crackers….i can smell all the food cooking in the neighbourhood.
all my addictions to food are coming up loud and clear.
i use food as a comfort, as a distraction and procrastination tool.
i am so happy to be finally doing this.
do people do the salt water flush?
i find it hard to do….it makes me want to barf.
i have been doing the laxative tea instead.
for all those people thinking about doing it!
you can!
anybody else on day five?
how are you feeling?

Heyy! Day 1 for me!! It is only 4 pm & I am starving!! I didn’t ease into the cleanse at all, yesterday I stuffed myself because I knew I couldn’t eat for the next 10 days- bad idea! But I’m staying strong :-)
In high school I drank laxative tea almost every night for a year at least & now my body doesn’t react to it whatsoever! I have to do the salt water flush, what makes it easier for me is to drink it through a straw & count each swallow. & just keep repeating until I’m done wit the 32 oz.
Tomorrow (Day 2) I am working & will have to get up around 4:30 in the morning :-/ I am thinking of making the lemonade drink tonight, is that ok? I don’t want to give up on this only because I didn’t have time to make the drink one morning.
Anyway, good luck everyone & thanks for some of the tips Raylen!

Im going to start this cleanse and im a lil scared because when I don’t eat I get heart burn, but since this gives you the nutrients you need for the day It shouldn’t give me heart burn right? but if it does can I take anything for it?

Lizzy September 29, 2011 at 7:42 pm

hi, i’m thinking of going on the master cleanse but i just want to know if by reducing the quantity of the maple syrup required of the recipe will increase the amount of weight i lose or not? thanks :)

Hey Raylen, today’s my fourth day on the master cleanse, but I don’t seem to be making any bowel movements, it’s really frustrating, I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong, I read your book many times to figure out why am I constipated but it didn’t mention anything about that, I know it’s one of the side effects, but I still will appreciate it if you have any suggestions, thank you.

Day 1 for me. I’ve tried this cleanse twice in the last two years and never completed it. The day is almost over and I’m proud to say I know I can make it to 10 days. I’ve been working out for a little more then a month and I hadn’t seen any results in the last two weeks so the guys from a nutrishop said for me to deficits and right away I thought the lemonade diet. So here i am once again trying it. After the 10 days he said for me to go back to buy what I need to help me when working out. I hope with this I will stick to a good diet because im one that goes up and down on my weight. I am tired of that. So day 2 tomorrow. Woo I’m excited. 9days to go. I got this.

Hi Raylen, I had a couple of more questions for you, in your book you said to drink orange juice, what I wanted to know was does it have to be organic orange juice? I’m assuming yes, if so I was looking for some but couldn’t find only orange, it would be orange and another fruit or vegetable like carrot or apple, is that okay? Also am I only going to be drinking that or should I continue taking the laxatives with it? Last question how much orange juice should I be drinking? 60oz? Today’s my 9th day, so I’m trying to prepare for my 11th :) Thank you for all your help I’ve lost 10lbs already!! :) ))

Dear Raylen, I am curently on Day 2 of the cleanse and I have 3 days left because I decided to do it for 5 days. I m scheduled to have a hydotherapy colonic treatment done at the start of November which is also meant to clean out wastes from my colon. Is there a need for me to complete the master cleanse if im going to have the colonic treatment done? I would really appreciate your opinion on this matter.

Hi Raylen,

Quick question, don’t know if someone might had asked.

I am on day 4 of the cleanser, I feel good. All is going well, but I lost about 3 kilos since I started and the problem is I don’t want to loose more wright…

I began a healthier lifestyle about 2 years ago (I am now 38, male, 5’10″, 80 kilos)
I excercise 5 days a week. A mix of cardio and resistance training and a high protein diet, balanced with whole grains, nuts other healthy fats…

This has helped me to get leaner taking my body fat from almost 30% to around 16% (I checeked last about a month ago) which is prety good I heard.

During the cleanser I took down the workout sessions to 3 a week.

I began the cleanser at 83+ kilos… I am sure I have lost a bit of fat, but I am also worried to loose lean muscle mass…

I am tempted to stop.

This is my first cleanser… I tried last year but was not well prepared and gave it up half way through the first day. So this time not sure what to expect.

What do you think? Will I continue to lose weight?

Tried to purchase and download the expanded guides but can’t download because I am on a work computer. Can I get this material through the mail?

Vicki Sue October 29, 2011 at 5:31 pm

The last time I did this fast, I couldn’t gag the salt water flush down. This time I lick a cut lemon then take a long sip of the slat water flush through a straw. …I then rest a few minutes. …Then repeat until it’s all consumed. It works very well.

Marine October 31, 2011 at 1:02 am

Hi all,
I’m starting the MC tomorrow, and I’m very motivated! Just a bit affraid about when I’ll start getting hungry and actually seing people eating all around me… But I really want to make it through, and lose 20lbs. So my 1st goal is doing for ten days, and I hope I’ll find the will to go further. One question : how long do we have to wait before leaving home after drinking SWF?
Also, I realy need some support, so if anyone want to be my mate for the 10 coming days, that would be a great help!
Wish me luck

Vicki Sue October 31, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Good Luck, Marine! I’m on day 9 of the 10 day fast. To answer how long to stay home after the flush, I’d recommend you give yourself at least an hour. It gets harder as time goes by to stay cheerful about fasting when you smell cookies and watch people eat pizza. At those time, just remember how disappointed you’ll be in you yourself if you quit early, and how much self discipline you’ll gain as you complete the fast ….and then take a sip of the lemon drink. The journal becomes very important because no one else cares to hear the inner struggles of the fast, yet there is a need to vent and re state goals. It also becomes a very self revealing experience as the relationship we have with food is very complex and comes under scrutiny during the fast. One more thing I’ve learned is that the more cayenne you add to the drink, the more it satisfies hunger. I wish you all the best!!!

Hi , I need some guidance here: I have high blood pressure and am leery about the salt flush requirement. Can somebody out there address this issue for me? I am 60 years old and have gained an extra 20lbs of belly fat after menopause, so I really want this Master Cleanse to benefit me without causing a STROKE. Thanks.

Great goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you’re just too wonderful. I really like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you are saying and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still care for to keep it sensible. I can not wait to read far more from you. This is actually a terrific website.

Xolile Nhlanhla January 3, 2012 at 12:05 pm

Hi. Please can you let me know which would be the best herbal tea to use as an alternative or in conjunction with the salt water flush.

Kind regards

Hello,
Can you please tell me the best time of year to cleanse? I heard according to natural medicine that spring is very good time because your body is naturally in a cleanse mode and will yield the best results because it works in harmony with your body. Is this true?

Juanita January 31, 2012 at 3:11 pm

Well, this is day 7 for me and feeling pretty good, lots of energy today. A bit of indigestion but not bad. Its better if I keep moving. Plan to stay on for 10 or 12 days
